"Forward Michael McNicholas has been a revelation for the Flyers this season with 10 goals and 12 assists in just 18 games played - he's responsible for under 25% of all Fife's league goals so far this season."
Just like every other Fife player is responsible for less than 25% of their goals?
Maybe better reading
Forward Michael McNicholas has been a revelation for the Flyers this season with 10 goals and 12 assists in 18 games played - he alone is responsible for just under 25% of all Fife's league goals so far (10 out of 41) the highest on any EIHL team.
(Assuming it is the highest?)

Panthers website getting in on the action:
RE-LIVE PANTHERS WIN OVER FIFE
Do what now? Is that traveling back in time and then watching it back live for a second time?
Relive maybe, Panthers?

Oh that's bad 🤦🏾♂️😂 Has the usual apparent "Google translate" English in the article as well -"The Stars *have* joint-last in the table on 13 points" - but getting the team name wrong in the headline is just cringeworthy. Ouch!

I'm not sure why it's necessarily "well publicised" but I have Storm's away record as 3 points from a possible 22. They didn't even score a goal away until their 4th game.
Away records as follows
Giants 16 points from a possible 24 Devils 19 from 26 Blaze 8 from 16 Stars 5 from 22 Flyers 4 from 24 (6 straight losses to start and only 4 gaols scored in those games) Clan 7 from 16 Flames 5 from 20 Storm 3 from 22 Panthers 8 from 16 Steelers a remarkable 17 from 18. (18 from 24 at home)

12, 22 close enough.
Should be an easy two for the Starts then, unless they've missed all of that Manchester away form publicity we've been swamped with.

"....and 90 seconds later the Storm were level through Dallas Ehrhardt's softly struck shot from the top of the circle on the powerplay. Storm completed their turnaround with their third goal in under as many minutes thanks to Frankie Melton, and led 3-2 with only 30:24 of the period played. Welsh's cross-crease pass bounced in off Robbie Baillargeon to bring the Panthers level three minutes later, but at 36:12 Brady and Ehradt played a nice give-and-go with the former slotting home to put Storm back ahead." I suspect it must've felt like a long game last night, but half an hour periods? It always amazes me how you can get a name right in one sentence and miss 2 letters out 30 odd words later. Seems like they're back to being unsure how a game is divided up... "With Brett Ferguson given a minor penalty *inside the final 30 sections of the period* " Now that must have felt like an interrupted game! www.eliteleague.co.uk/article/2007-bloodoff-wins-it-for-blaze-in-ot

“Panthers and Giants kick of bank holiday games” It’s in the headlines now. It also apparently results in rubber sticks. Those famous bouncy joke sticks that Steelers seemingly like to swap their opponents equipment with during the interval 😉 "Sheffield levelled 5:57 into period three shorthanded - an unfortunate bounce of a stick meant the Flames couldn't keep the puck in the offensive zone" Bounce OFF, bounce off. www.eliteleague.co.uk/article/2004-steelers-third-period-triple-puts-out-flames

"Glasgow are having a much quieter week by their stands... That'll be the Covid restrictions, only 200 people in them. 😂 Love it! Guessing they were aiming for "standards" given the article is partly about busy schedules - "They picked up four points out of eight in a four-game week last time out," - but it's all just word salad, so your answer is as good as any 😊

I imagine some of the sentences are formed by picking phrases written on bits of paper out of a hat and just joining them up. For example.
"Guildford the league's in form team enter a crucial week with a three game weekend where 6 points are at stake looking to close the gap on their rivals with the league's worst powerplay having lost all three previous games against their opponents this weekend, with currently 65 points and a win percentage of 48%, just outside the playoff places. Flames's Rob Lachowicz needs 4 games to have played in 1245 all time EIHL games, and will be looking to celebrate by putting one top shelf with the good whisky."

Where do you even start 🤦🏾♂️ Do you think we should have a whip round and buy then some punctuation to use? Instead of a "shirts off their backs" auction, we could bid to donate commas and fullstops. Okay, I'm really not sure they'd know what to do with them but at least it might remind them that they actually exist.

That sentence one I made up, to be fair, to illustrate what I think might happen at EIHL Web HQ. It's easy to think it could on the website though?

From the website. "The Giants are on a league-leading 11-game winning streak, a straight 10 in all competitions, and have only lost one of their last 13 games."
I make it... The Giants have actually won their last 12 league games, From 4 December onwards. Since their last loss, 8 Dec, @ Blaze, in the Cup, they've won 11 straight (10 in regulation, one in OT; 10 in the league, 1 in the Cup.) Since 4 December, it's one in 14 (12 league wins and 1 of each in the Cup)
Seems a long time since Giants no-point weekend 27/28 November.

Thanks for doing the maths on this one Bobness. It's obvious that the internal logic didn't make sense (how could all competitions be *less*!) but now you've proved it's all off base. What a surprise

"Marc-Olivier Vallerand slapped past Kevin Carr on a delayed penalty after excellent patience from Daine Todd to put the Steelers back ahead when Dowd backhanded home." That just makes no sense.

"Marc-Olivier Vallerand slapped past Kevin Carr on a delayed penalty after excellent patience from Daine Todd to put the Steelers back ahead when Dowd backhanded home." That just makes no sense. Followed up by 'that was where the scoring ended as the Panthers did battle etc' how about 'the scoring ended, though the Panthers' etc.instead. Not to be outdone, BBC Radio Nottingham reported this morning that we lost 5-4
