We're going as we happen to be in town anyway, but the attendance looks like it will be a shocker.

Still a week to sell a few, plus it is at least a Saturday.
I know we say this every year, but they really need to work on the format of this, especially the first round.

I’m not spending money on the Challenge Cup group games. 8 teams qualifying out of 9 makes these games pretty meaningless.

They could make these first round games far more meaningful if they just dropped the quarter final stage, have group winners plus 1 straight to the semi finals. You'd only be losing 1 home game per team, surely that's not make or break.

And when I think I have a good idea , the resulting non reply from organisers would probably suggest the idea is to give equal number of games to all clubs for income. But you can arrange that, like has already been said ‘without’ the quarter final stage. Someone has to drop out so why not stick to what we knew best in the old Autumn Cup days and play group games to bring about four semi final places? Done.

Plenty of goals expected tonight then seeing as the guys have been “lasered focussed” this week in training. That should please the “raacous crowd” which will be in attendance. 🙄

Hopefully we can continue from where we left off on Sunday, play like we have been doing and convert our chances.

Well Carr, Carozza, & Myers do not ice..... All injured. Clarke Pizzo, Hopkins both ice & according to twitter Luca Sheldon is backup. I know you can't account for injuries but I'm paying extra for this on my season ticket?
Not for much longer me thinks.
I am though looking forward to seeing Kerlin, Clarke- Pizzo & Hopkins (assuming number 6 out there is him)

It's been a half decent game. Storm behind early and looking feisty. Linden Springer is going for the PiM record and has been tossed along with Baillargeon. Baillargeon get 5+game for checking from behind. Springer got 5+game for fighting (I think). 3-1 after 2, Panthers outshooting Storm 20-10.

Good result considering the injuries, well done Kerlin getting his first win.
Probably the game you want to be short in though, Finnerty'll have to sack himself soon.

Dam, I didn't even realise there was a game tonight 😂😭 This would be an easier sell if you hadn't previously posted in this Game Day thread five days ago Pidge 🙄: Oooh you’re a smart cookie you are working that out. 🤣🤣 It's taken them long enough 😂.. how many years has it been a farce now

Definitely nice to see Kerlin not just winning but seizing his chance. 94.12 save percentage would have been nice for Wallace to see in a back up

Kerlin I thought played well. We looked decent and you can see lots of potential with the team. Really like the look of Doherty, Lane and Suoranta
Next week will be a good test to see where we are at.

In fact, I thought Carr had started and been replaced by Kerlin at the end of the first, even though I'm sat in block 16 with a view of our d zone for two periods ! So Kerlin must have been proficient. We looked better this week, more willing to shoot, but need something extra on one of the lines. We can't keep playing 43/74/14 as top line. And I did say when we signed him that Baillargeon takes too many penalties. That was needless tonight.
