3 of them at Nottingham, bet Mr Black is not happy fans watching on the box, and they are against Giants, Steelers, and Clan oops. I was surprised by talking to fans that have had season tickets since back in the days of the old rink tell me that after the Covid break away they didn't even miss it, they were bored at the game and have no plans to come back and hadn't renewed their season tickets anyway. I have run my own business since back in the early 80's and in all that time my mantra has been that it's a lot cheaper to keep existing fans than it is to keep finding new ones. Things are hopefully looking better now but I'm afraid that we have watched several winters loaded with dross I think the long Covid break will have had an effect. Unless you are out for a social event and the beer or cheering on one of your pet Brit bench warmers as far as sport goes it's an exciting night out and winning that puts bums on seats unless you are going to pack the teams with knuckly draggers. Let's just see what happens as it's all just about to unfold over the next few months. I've had a season ticket with my other half since the 2008-9 season. We've renewed this season but I'm honestly not sure why. I really don't have the itch to get back, not going to any of the pre-season games. I actually said to someone the other day that I feel like the only reason I follow the club is because they're my local team, not through any affinity I feel. Mainly due to the way the club has been run over the last few years.

Well the ratings are in for the Devils v Squeelers game which was the 1st televised game of this new tv deal (Not that I believe Barb is absolutely accurate but its all we've got).
The game was the 4th highest rated programme for that week across the two PS channels (this doesn't include programmes watched on the Premier player streaming app)
It was only beaten by 3 of the 4 Scottish league cup quarter finals & beat all the former Pro14 live games as well as both NASCAR races & of course the other Scottish league cup QF
The actual amount of people given as watching the game live was 10500..... It will be interesting to see how the ratings hold up throughout the season

Be interesting when it's a game with Steelers, panthers, devils, Giants etc...

Supposedly EIHl tv games next season are going to be on a Thursday...
And Premier also paying the league more in sponsorship as part of their deal this season than last.... Though I bet it'd still comparative peanuts so to speak.
Apparently Badminton is more pop than Ice hockey... who are these people?๐ฎ

Can they say what games they want on a Thursday or do clubs have a veto clause.
Yes I am thinking that the club's don't want a Panthers VS Steelers game on a Thursday not do I think that The Scottish teams want their big rivalry games on that night too.
Could it be games like Giants VS Clan, Devils VS Blaze type games?

Can I just point out that the Premier Sports broadcast schedule posted as attachments by sevcik was for LAST season? The subsequent comments on that schedule are therefore based on a false premise ... The 2022-23 broadcasts announced so far by Premier Sports (https://www.eliteleague.co.uk/article/2443-premier-sports-announce-initial-fixtures-new-voices-and-offer-code) are all MIDWEEK fixtures: Thurs 15 September โ Dundee Stars v Fife Flyers โ Challenge Cup Wed 21 September โ Manchester Storm v Guildford Flames โ Elite League Thurs 29 September โ Coventry Blaze v Cardiff Devils โ Challenge Cup Thurs 6 October โ Sheffield Steelers v Guildford Flames โ Elite League Fri 21 October โ Cardiff Devils v Belfast Giants โ Elite League Wed 9 November โ Sheffield Steelers v Coventry Blaze โ Elite League Thurs 17 November โ Coventry Blaze v Dundee Stars โ Elite League Wed/Thurs 7/8 December โ Challenge Cup Quarter Finals Wed 14 December - Challenge Cup Quarter Finals Tues 27 December โ Cardiff Devils v Coventry Blaze Broadcast dates after 27 December have not been released yet. Disappointed not to see any Panthers games, home or away. Sure there will be some later in the year, but surprised there was none in the first 9 games (not counting the Challenge Cup QF which is obviously TBD)
