So glad I've finally bitten the bullet and given up my season ticket.
poo poo show of a league limiting bench strength to 19 combined with Black spending just enough money to finish 4th again: after nearly 40 years I'll find something else to do on Sunday afternoons (can't even say Saturday nights).

I think we have a lot of expectation on Boivin and Domingue to produce on the back of the eliteseries. I'm not wanting to be negative but I do have a fear they may not turn out as many expect. Regardless of entertainment value I believe the eliteseries was some way behind usual EIHL standards, even with this seasons changes.
Got the feeling of football teams signing players off the back of a few good world cup games. Salif Diao springs to mind.
Hope i'm wrong and they do the business.

Not everyone can be? Who would you swap Ollie with ? Well Tousignant isn't a right winger, so him. The point is rather expecting some mega signing at this point is almost certainly building up false hope which the club can then fail to match up to.

Stick Tous with Myers could be a decent crash line that with a scorer who alternates

There seems to be more goals in the team than previous years but perhaps just miss that one franchise type player to rely on in the right games

I'm interested to know what the crowds will be like this year with so little Saturday night home games. Sundays dull as dishwater at the best of times

Import 1 - Welsh - Suoranta. Boivin - Lane - Dominque. Carroza - Baillargeon - Tousignant. - Myers - Betteridge That last import spot has to be a top LW These might be the lines Lane and Baillargeon were on the same Boston University roster for three years, not sure they ever played together but they could end up on the same line. I'd imagine Boivin and Domingue will stay together, given the uncertainty around Perlini I wouldn't be shocked if our final signing was a centre for that line, seeing as they were so productive in the ES and you'd assume the plan was to keep them all together.

No wonder regulars are sacking it off

Baillargeon is obviously a wait and see signing, however, I think he fits the bill to be a 3rd line centre who can pick up goals. If he can pick up 15 goals in that role I’d be happy, the big question though will be whether he is sharp enough and fit enough after two years out.
I expect us to sign one more import now and for us to look something like:
Suoranta Welsh Import Boivin Lane Domingue Carozza Baillargeon Betteridge Tousignant Myers Kelsall
If the final import is a star player then we look good in my eyes. We’ve got good depth and flexibility throughout the lines, Suoranta can play either wing so we could still sign either a LW or a RW, the 2nd, 3rd and even 4th pairing can all be relied upon to chip in and move up and down the line-up. We’ve also now got balance with 2 L/H and 2 R/H centres. I’m pleased with the way it’s looking but we do need the last player to be a star.

Hope he’s a lot better than the last mate Wallace brought over from Milton Keynes. Looks a bit of a donkey at this point and I doubt any other team in the league would have taken him.

Boivin will be a decent player, him and Cangelosi were the best players on our Elite Series team. Even when we started poorly in the series I thought Boivin looked a great player. He’ll be a key player for us imo.

Well as your image has been tarnished what was the name of this AHL player you may as well reveal him It's not quite over yet... Have you had any update Jord?

Baillargeon had better learn to stay out of the penalty box. 84mins in 50 games is a lot for a non fighter, even if I've seen him described elsewhere as an agitator. We've got Tousignant for that role.

Listened to GD talk about him and said that he’s a player they’ve wanted since they took over but with an injury and pandemic, it couldn’t happen.
Then when on Twitter last night, saw a lot of MK fans say really good stuff about him. I don’t profess to remember him but I’m also not going to write off the entire season on a team I’ve not seen play yet 😂

Belfast shopping in Waitrose and panthers shopping in Aldi by the looks of things It’s not even Aldi, more like Home Bargains I’d say ! Poor, lazy and really desperate looking signing that by Panthers.

How though? Look at our crowds and match day income! Black is conning everyone. I hope for the club’s sake that the casual fans return because I know literally dozens of long term fans who quit the season before Covid due to our lack of ambition. The Ling season was a fluke let’s face it I like you. You talk my kind of thing. 👍😄

It does seem a little odd that Gui states we have done well to pick up a goalscorer 'at this time of year' ( or words to that effect ).Why wait to this time of year? Was this a deliberate policy to wait until the last minute or have the their targets gone elsewhere and there is now a rush job on?

He won't be if Tim rates him and they've been wanting him for 2 years.

It's not quite over yet... Have you had any update Jord? Nope, nothing. I'm expecting one more signing though so you never know. The player from late June hasn't signed for anyone yet. But... This is Panthers so I would expect either nothing or a squad filler. Let's not forget 'Prepare for Disappointment' is Panthers motto.
