He's only played in 3 games out of 6, so still settling in? Ellis seems to have been thrown out 1 game already.

This page goes back to last year when I was waiting for Doucet to sign two top line studs… ended with Myers (don’t get me wrong great signing) and bailegron Frankly, both of whom were the most "over-achieving" of Panthers roster last year, for me at least. Be wary of the expectation that the last 2 forwards are going to be the "studs". There are 6 obvious top 6 forwards already signed. The nominal third line needs some attention, IMO.

I would be expecting from our final 3… A 1st/2nd line R handed D A 1st line stud RW A 3rd line RW (ECHL/Boivin kind of level)
I say stud for a RW as while I’m very impressed with the squad and feel there are lots of goals to come from this team it still lacks an absolute WOW signing in the forward lines

Graham has stated he sees our centremen being Welsh, Brady, Johnston and Myers in no particular order (that’s scary centre depth). You’d assume Hunt might slot onto the 3rd line with one of those centres, a big physical power forward to play on their right would be great. We would then still need another player to bring into the top 6.

Given a centre's primary job is to win face offs, Panthers didn't have a player in the top dozen of face off win %s last season, for players taking >100 face offs. Steelers had 3 in the top 9, Storm placed 3 at 10/11/12. Much maligned Chris Lawrence was 5th on that list. Conway and Dixon were 1 and 2, both at above 60%. (!) Just be wary of the "expectation gap", that's all. I'm not sure rosters are announced in ascending order of fan excitement, shall we say.

So if we're signing players for that line it won't be a Boivin, more likely (an import version of) Farmer.

Stephen Anderson to Panthers Not sure what to make of this rumour, looks to be a two-way forward so maybe that’s why we could be signing him

Tbh as the roster currently stands we ain't reliant on signing a stud as a matter of urgency anyway

We have 2 forwards left to sign. I'd of course love it if we were to sign 2 studs, but im not sure that's whats coming. I'd still like a big 6ft 4 power forward type. In reality though we are still yet to sign that more junior import forward. Ourselves and most other clubs have almost always carried a kid straight of college in recent years. If Stephen Anderson were to come in for that slot then it's an upgrade on what we'd usually go for. An upgrade on Sean Richards i'd guess.
That's really the point of where we are. Compare similar players to who they are replacing from last year. I'd say most at this moment in time look like upgrades.

I think your hopes of bringing in a power forward are slim with Hammond and Anderson coming in, unless the rumours are true about Hunt leaving

If it’s Hammond and Anderson, I feel like we’ve got a very, very capable set of forwards. Arguably the best we’ve had in a long time. We talk about studs…Hammond is a stud. I really don’t get what people expect. No team had pulled an absolute stud. Conway is the only one I’ve seen sign somewhere that I’d love to have. None of the other teams have got much better than us.

I didn’t realise Aalborg had won the post season championship. Strangely there’s no regular season results table on Elite Prospects for Denmark. You make a good point about his +/- stats as well, impressive effort. Thinking about the make-up of the team so far and what Graham has said about wanting a checking/grinding 3rd line, I’m not sure if Anderson fits that role. I’d argue he’d be more likely to be the two way forward to compliment a goal scorer and play maker, playing higher up the line-up potentially.
