Wouldn’t surprise me if we are still waiting this time next month for two new forwards IMO we won’t even get top 4 with just 13 imports, unless they were the standard of steelers or Belfast’s imports One of the two forwards was announced, Matt Myers.. we are apparently going down the same route as Cardiff and signing only 13 imports. So apparently only one signing left. They said that initially, then they apparantly mentioned that there was still 2 signings to go at the shirt reveal at the weekend. Perhaps they saw it was unpopular and changed course.

They said that initially, then they apparantly mentioned that there was still 2 signings to go at the shirt reveal at the weekend. Perhaps they saw it was unpopular and changed course. Can anyone show where the Panthers have said that there were two forwards left to sign? As far as I'm aware, all we know is that they announced the defensive lineup was complete last month, but one of the last two signings could be another keeper. Or possibily even a two-way dman who became available after Panthers announced the last D signing, such as Stenton. I'd argue that with the EIHL moving to 3 2/3 line hockey, a second import keeper may be the better option. We have 7 import forwards already, add Betteridge on the 3rd, Myers/Kelsall on 4th line and you're left with 1 last spot for a top 9 import forward.
Unless Panthers intend to use Kelsall as injury cover along with Clarke-Pizzo, or move Betteridge/Import onto the 4th partial line, it seems inefficient to use the last two spots on forwards.
1st Line:
| Import 1 | Import 2
| Import 3
| 2nd Line:
| Import 4
| Import 5
| Import 6
| 3rd Line:
| Betteridge
| Import 7
| Import 8
| 4th Line:
| Kelsall | Myers | (Rotating Position)
| Injury Cover:
| Clarke-Pizzo
|
|
|
|
|
|
| 1st Pairing:
| Import 9
| Import 10
|
| 2nd Pairing:
| Tetlow
| Import 11
|
| 3rd Pairing:
| Import 12
| Lee
|
|
|
|
|
| Goalie:
| Import 13
|
|
| Goalie:
| Import 14
|
|
| Backup:
| Kerlin

No. I believe it's been mentioned by 2 people here independently, but not seen it in writing and I personally want at the event. Not sure I'd agree with a 2nd import goalie. If we had a stronger brit lineup I'd think using the 14th slot on a goalie might be worth it, but we probably have 10 goals coming from all our Brits combined. We are relying on our imports for nearly all our goals and while i think we've got good guys in thus far, we need 2 more studs when you look at Belfast IMHO.

I was at the jersey reveal and Gary asked Gui how recruitment had been, he said it had been different to usual and he also said there was two players to sign, but Gary didn’t ask him anymore questions on it and they moved on. There was no specification on what positions we were looking for either, just two players. Hopefully we get to here from Gui soon for an update.

Imagine the reaction if it was Johno May re signing 🤣 Yeah imagine it's the sort of signing they would announce if they've been struggling.. I'd much prefer Cangelosi yes I know he's signed in Norway but still 😄

I reckon we'll start with 13 now. Keep an extra change for the rest of the season. We always need to make changes as it goes.

I feel like Jord can tell us what we could have won now. I agree, there’s not many LW AHL free agents left on elite prospects now

I feel like Jord can tell us what we could have won now. Afraid he resigned for his 2020/21 team one day after I said he was still unsigned which was on the 8th of Sep. If anyone wants the name PM me.

Probably waiting for Cangelosi to be cut. Only 1 point in 3 games in Norway. Definitely should get cut! Honestly he'll be fine out there, I don't think he'll be packing his bags to Nottingham any time soon.
