Plus in Clan's case, if they take over running the arena they probably have a lot of hiring and expenses in the coming 3 months before a puck is even dropped. That might end up being the case, but in another sense that isn't really the fans problem. They aren't investors, and it'll be NB that benefits from the arena takings should Clan get the arena. I'm also really confused at the ST model, it's the very first ST package where fans don't get all the home league games. It's only for 25 games, with the last two added on "free" as half of the compensation of the 4 games missed from ST books last season. Though prices have went up a fair bit, so it looks like fans are essentially paying for their "free" games, which are games we would normally get as standard in STs anyway. Really quite poor.

TBF I'm just playing Devils advocate. I think not offering a direct debit is short sighted. Fans finances took a hit last year and if you spent a long time on furlough or lost your job for a portion of the last 18 months you might not have £1k+ to pay for a whole families worth of tickets in one go but would be fine to spend it over a few months. Not having a direct debit option can only ever lose you sales. WRT prices/games the are similarities in Nottingham, we've had a set number of games for several years now. Plus we should be getting 5 games back from 19/20. However the number on the ticket has reduced from 27 to 25 so effectively it's a price rise even if the headline price is frozen. I personally thought Panthers were handling things correctly when they didn't sell season tickets to the season that never happened and deciding to wait and see, but it feels like there are efforts being made to claw back lost revenue and subtly squeezing season ticket holders here. Plus it sets a new higher baseline for next year when there (hopefully) won't be any free games to carry over.

Exactly what I’ve been suggesting was happening for weeks but when I say it I just get accused of Panther bashing. In short they’re taking the fans for mugs big time.

All the teams have now announced their home openers.
Sorry did I say all teams? I meant 9. Someone at Panthers tower must have lost the twitter password as they are the only team yet to announce.

I imagine because we probably won’t have a home opener on weekend one…and they’re preparing for the backlash. With Clan not starting until November, someone is missing out on game day 1

Something else never updated could possibly be our reluctance on giving information out the the beeb.
Is it not coincidental that the BBC Sports app only tends to show Giants and Devils information. Are these clubs savy with promoting the sport and others just avoid the hassle? Or does someone at the 'centre' only listen to these clubs. Fed up of seeing Cardiff/Belfast info apart from the recent World Championships being the news.
