Great remark and can’t wait to prove you wrong, we will win the league again this season, especially with our last few signings and these beauties. If you come close to us you will be doing very good indeed. Happy Hockey Days. 😂😂😂😂😂 I swear Cardiff could put a steaming pile of poo out and you’d tell us you’d win the league. Put the pop down and have a day off Glynn. Winning the league based on 33% of players signed across most teams is the Cardiff way....arrogant Probably tell us you’re fishing next but I think you really believe the stuff you say. Wow I see what you mean.. probably the goalie looks ok but the others wow... Is money drying out already lol I know what the reaction would be if panthers signed any of those forwards lol

No for the sake of the rest of us in our league, we need a strong Panthers team.

Run of the mill EIHL signings. The uni lads are wait and sees, nothing wrong with that per se, and I think that's a fairly sensible route for sides in our league.
The goalie presumably played for Corey?

Very unimpressed with the Cardiff signings. Carruth looks a good goalie and Cox and Sanford look very comparable to Domingue and Boivin but I’d be very disappointed if Panthers announced Lammon and especially McNally whose played in the AlpsHL recently and got nowhere near a ppg in a pretty poor league. With 8 forwards now signed the need a few big players or they look well lacking in goal. You would say that they’ve got the bottom of the roster signed

Lammon is the pick of them for me. Presumably Register had a hand in that one. But we all know how good ex college first year pros can be.

Fortunately it doesn’t matter who looks ok to you. Interesting to see who the Panthers sign next, hopefully some Aces.

When you look at the standard of players Cardiff normally bring in, this represents a change of direction. Driven by budget constraints or are younger players more willing to travel in these uncertain times Without any doubt a change of direction. Perhaps the new coach has certain ideas though. Will be an interesting watch to see if they challenge as in previous years.

Will he be the best goalie in the league?

Just to offer some context here to these 'not usual' Cardiff signings, I've just listened to Simms on Brent Walton's podcast and whilst he wouldn't say there was a strict wage cap this year, he did say that 'restrictions' were being enforced on the teams because of the uncertainty with covid

Some teams were vastly outspending others in the past few seasons.

Quite a few GB players currently are without a club next season unless they drop down to NIHL.

Quite a few GB players currently are without a club next season unless they drop down to NIHL. As long as that's a minimum and imports dont go up then it's ok for 1 season. If the reason is to help clubs afford the season. Anything less than a game night roster of 20 would ba a poor decision and a massive backward step. Teams must be allowed to ice 4 lines should they chose to. That means with 13 imports teams would need 7 Brits. If the smaller teams chose to go with less then thats their choice. In theory for teams like Panthers that means not being able to carry a 13th forward and 7th Dman. Thats where there are less jobs for Brits too. Those are the roles that have allowed the likes of Tetlow to develop so a key in the long run. As I said, we should accept that for a post covid season.

Will he be the best goalie in the league? Hardly because that's means they'll be a 50/50 chance of pulling out some decent players from college.. I don't think the ratio is very high at all..

"The style of the league appealed to me," Cameron told BBC Scotland. "It's a very similar style of hockey. I know the fans like a rough, physical and aggressive game over there. I like the challenge and it's one that appealed to me because of that play. Should be interesting to see what type of roster he signs. Probably not filled with Scandinavians !!

It'll be interesting to see how he adapts, both to the game over here and how it's refereed. We've seen senior North American coaches fail plenty of times in our league, when you've expected them to be a success.
Glad they're starting to build the roster though, hopefully that points to security on the arena front.

Giants netminding looks strong with today's signings.
Do we assume we're going with Carr and Kerlin?
