There's often a second wave. Have to see how places that have been through the first wave already fare, if the Chinese tell the truth about their numbers... Like a lot of this, no one anywhere knows enough about it yet to say how it'll pan out from here. I think we all know the Chinese are lying about their 'numbers' hey

How about we break with the traditional Cage habit of adopting entrenched positions based upon nothing more than guesswork & personal prejudice, and wait to see how matters develop over the next few months?
Based on what we know right now - and that's not much - an on-time start to the 20-21 season seems unlikely but not impossible... writing off the season completely also can't be ruled out, but is surely the last resort. And there are all sorts of options in between, which will no doubt be under consideration.
Of course, if anybody has definitive and incontrovertible proof of what is going to happen with this git of a virus over the next few months, I'm sure that everyone here - plus the NHS and the government - would be fascinated to know...

And better still, folks should wind their necks in! I'm sick & tired of hearing about this damn virus without every thread on here banging on about it. Yes it's bad - we know that, but please stop ramming it down everyone's throat as if you know all about it, how long it'll last, blah, blah, yada, yada! If you're that clever go & work for the Government!

That 'League cancelled due to Coronavirus' thread started it all. Then it 'spread' to all the surrounding threads. My own on ' All star team' got infected and has gone into isolation.

and the refund on the remaining games?? Mmmm... So instead of league games and a play off quarter final you’re getting pre season games and “probably some” remaining home games. Aren’t you lucky ! 🙄

So what's possessed them to replace competitive games with non competitive games on the ST ? WTF I get that they want to hold on to the money and get people to commit, but trying to sell to us on getting a handful of friendlies compared to 5 games at the business end of the season takes the mick. I mean throw in some cup games and try to pretend it's comparable. Also, no option for a refund? Tonedeaf.

Tbh Panthers have pulled some stunts over the years but this is up there with the very best!
They are desperate as they know this pandemic will hit them hard like most of the teams ..

Has anyone got a record of the cost of season tickets for 19/20? I've got 3 adults, 1 child in Silver. I want to work out how much I'm short before responding. I reckon I'm approx £200 down and I don't think I'm going to roll over here. We've been shafted for too long and this just another example of something they're hoping they can sweep under the table without giving any alternative.

I should think your shortfall is comfortably north of £200 in total.

Decisions hockey related have vastly improved this year with Doucet and Wallace but unfortunately this still has the stink of Gary Moran all over it

For all the good the club has done this year, they then go and do this.
In current times, some of our fans will be in financial trouble and for the club to not allow fans who want a refund to even have that option is disgusting.
Neil Black is not an unwealthy man and Panthers prior to this was not a business that struggled to post a profit.
Where has the money gone?
Really hope the club changes its policy here. If fans are happy to accept Aladdin Cup games as regular season game equivilant(HA!) then that is fine but fans must be allowed the option of a refund for a product they bought but didn't receive.
Time for people and businesses to stick together, not shaft each other.

Something like this 'Many ST holders have been in touch wishing the club well and urging the club to continue to move forward'
from the Panthers seems to regularly appear in news that is not going to be received well.

It looks like the "no refunds" policy is a league-wide decision.

I see on FB that someone has worked out she's over £200 out of pocket on 4 season tickets and is planning on taking the club to the small claims court at a cost of £25. I'm not surprised Panthers have done this, but to be one of the richest clubs and offer what they have is a smack in face. now watch the season tickets increase in price to counteract the 'free games' the only people losing out again are the fans and the club don't give a crap. they'll also want the money and renewals before we even know if the season is going ahead.

Weren't the 19/20 season tickets bought to cover 28 home league games? To then replace the missing games pre-season ones, there's no way any club could defend that in a claims court. As we've seen with the likes of Liverpool, Spurs etc. even the largest clubs in the biggest sports can't read their fanbases to save themselves due to money blinding them so much! Clubs should have just offered refunds to those who wanted them, as there will be a chunk that needs every penny they can get if their employment circumstances have changed. Those of that bracket aside, I think clubs would have been surprised by the numbers who actually wouldn't have applied for their money back, as most understand the circumstances.

Well the simple suggestion to that is NO ONE COMMIT TO ANYTHING UNTIL THEY KNOW THE FULL STRUCTURE I.E. HOW MANY GAMES/IMPORTS AND WHEN ITS LIKELY TO START, before they send their hard eant cash (which is likely to be hard on a fea people at this time) to some offshore bank account generating interest

If it’s a late start and they still want to cram the usual amount of games into the season, you know what’s going to happen. There won’t be enough weekends to cater for it so there will be loads of midweek dates and so many games coming thick and fast that lots of people won’t get to attend them all. Committing to a season ticket early doesn’t seem a very sensible option to me at the moment.

Belfast have got away with not offering a refund as their season ticket simply states it's for all home games during the season, not a specified amount.
