This poses an interesting question. Some teams are recruiting, others appear not to be. The mix between the established 'top' teams is 50/50. Could certain teams abscond to avoid a reduced season & let the others have their fun? Good theory.. be funny if Panthers were a team who to abscond and watch the bitching and moaning from other quarters .. that could be fun to watch 😂😀 Panthers, Clan & Giants would be absconding in this theory. I would have said it's not possible but with Giants seemingly so inactive as well it's certainly got more mileage than just being one owners team(s). Also interesting that from the 'big 4' the ones who are lets say happy to spend more on recruitment are the ones building their squads. I know Belfast financially aren't the best and we all know that NB's pockets aren't the deepest. Hmm...

I look at it this way. Neither of Neil Black's teams have released season ticket information, never mind started taking money for them. That tells me that a season is unlikely at this stage. This poses an interesting question. Some teams are recruiting, others appear not to be. The mix between the established 'top' teams is 50/50. Could certain teams abscond to avoid a reduced season & let the others have their fun? On the flip-side of that, if the league can't get going until say December, or even January next year, but other leagues get going sooner, then likes of the Steelers could get made to look very foolish. As I'm sure at least all their imports would jump ship to elsewhere in Europe so to start picking up a wage sooner, rather than continue to wait while getting nothing for it.

Well, yes, Discoray my Scottish friend..... But I have another consideration for that point as well. These players that are being signed now are actually being paid for the full season regardless of play or not. By regardless I mean up to the point of of the decision being made. Now there's no way NB & certain owners would take part in that kind of shenanigan.

Just a theory, probably very little in it.

Oooh this could turn into a great spectacle of fun to watch by about the end of October.....I can’t wait ! 🤣🤣

Those owners who choose to pursue a season undoubtedly can afford to do so. These player contracts interest me the most. There must be some serious proviso's in there, particularly for the players who could get a gig elsewhere at a moments notice.

But don't you think that there will be some sort of announcement from Panthers soon ? After their recent 'we don't talk about what Sheffield have been up to', wouldn't it be typical for Panthers to just make a leeetle player announcement, you know, drag it out a bit, then say that Gospel's continuing to train with us and play for Leeds (which is true), or that Lacho's re-signed.

Panthers current direction is until they know more about what is happening for the coming season then they are saying/doing very little publicly.

So do you guys think you have signed anyone, and who would you want back. Only one name I want to see. I'll be amazed if I see it though. I've got this feeling that he's signed, if not surely we would have heard rumblings about him signing elsewhere, let's face it, the possibility of Sheffield and/or Cardiff would have been strong. If there is a season,I think it's also a possibility that we will get notification of news at a certain time, That's when the announce the season, season tickets going on sale and the Herr re-signing

Worcester Railers of ECHL Don't blame him. Guaranteed income With everything going on in the US, there is no prospect of a minor league starting in NA this year. Looking likely that some European leagues will be among the first leagues to start the 20/21 season, or the 2021 season as it could be known as.

I agree, I get the impression that the US are in a worse position than us currently. Canada on the other hand isn’t, which is partly why the NHL has chosen Canadian cities to be the hubs for the remainder of their season.

The NHL season is due to resume on July 26th with a start on August 1st. SCF penslcilled in for October 2nd-6th.
The USA may be in a worse state but the minors over there can play in empty rinks as they get income from elsewhere. Like has been said not possible over here

Guildford lose high scoring Dman Calle Ackered to Dukla Trencin of the Slovakian league A BIG loss for Guilford. His points will be difficult to replace.
