Just proves .. panthers didn't half sign some garbage .. Funny, you quite liked him when he was signed. “Give me new kids on the block anytime” was a post you quoted positively. He wasnt a blockbuster but he grew into a very nice second line player.

It wouldn’t say much for the third and fourth lines. 🙈

Carr returns to Utah, signing for the ECHL Grizzlies On the move already, to Colorado in the AHL Who's gk coach is Ryan Bach, who many will remember as an outstanding nm for Steelers and Giants in 01-03

Had decidedly average stats in his first year with Steelers, but better in his season with Giants. Won both play offs but not a league title.

Joel Laing and Christian Bronsard had mad stats for the Steelers in subsequent years. 1.5 GAA, 94+% SP. Incredible. Here’s a topic. Players who signed for Panthers only to never turn up. Bronsard (have I remembered that right?) Matthieu Raby, Theo Peckham etc.

As for others who never arrived, there was was Eric Lizon and Chris Richards for starters. However there have been loads of em who did actually arrive in Nottingham but never actually showed up !!!

Laing was very good but was still prone to making game costly errors . To say Steelers were his first pro team too

To say Steelers were his first pro team too www.eliteprospects.com/player/81738/joel-laingApart from 2 seasons at Wheeling in the ECHL and a stint in the A with Wilkes Barre? Laing was incredible that season, just a wall. First all star team, Player of the Year. Then just left hockey, aged 27. Played 28 of the 32 league games. There's no W-L-T stats available (that I can see anyway) but I suspect he only lost 6 in regulation at the absolute most. (Trevor Prior had pretty poor stats in the 4 games he ended up playing, so if he lost all 4 I wouldn't be surprised. Steelers in total only lost 8 regulation games of the 32.)

Looking at him, he did at least play 07-08 in a Senior (amateur) league in Canada, rather than pro. So maybe he did have some issues.

Spoke to him when he was here. Was a intelligent fella hence why he wasn't a hockey player for long . Prior knew he wasnt going to start many games . I'm sure Blazer said the Steelers was his first pro contract when he signed him . Like I said he wasn't immune to mistakes like the one in the cc final in Manchester from haddens shot

Matthieu Raby, Theo Peckham etc. Darcy Martini, he was supposed to come over in the final ISL season but from memory he picked up an injury and retired shortly before he joined. I remember Chris Richards pulling out, I think we signed Dan Tessier for his second stint as a result of Richards deciding to pull out of his deal.
