Opened a new thread so as not to be caught up with the playoffs
If the remainder of the season gets cancelled what happens about those with season tickets? That goes for all teams. The club promises entry to a certain amount of games and if they fall short by say 5 games because of they can't play or whatever then what?
There is nothing in the T&C's on the ST form that mentions if the club cannot fulfill the 28 games the ST covers

Then common sense had to apply. I dont have a season ticket but if I did then these are extraordinary circumstances and I'd be more than happy to either write it off or let the monetary value of it be put into some sort of central fund to help the clubs in this league that will struggle financially. The Panthers will survive this, some other clubs may not be so lucky.

Perhaps Panthers specifically could look at a small discount or gesture sometime next season, but for now survival is most important. Even if they do offer nothing i'm happy enough.

Intu in serious financial difficulties (lost 2 billion in 2019) and don’t they own Glasgow’s rink?

Intu in serious financial difficulties (lost 2 billion in 2019) and don’t they own Glasgow’s rink? They do indeed own & operate our rink, and it should be noted that loss figure also includes the sale of all their assets in Spain a few months ago for £500 million. Outside of the current situation with the virus (which could be a straw to break the camel’s back) should the worst happen at Intu, the only possible alternative with enough size would be Murrayfield.

My concern now with regards to the season ending is that the Panthers won’t refund any monies for the missed games, (there’s NO WAY they’ll hand over any money back to us) is that they give “a discount” on next years ST as I’m done......... after 20 years following the Panthers and 17 years as a ST holder I’ve had enough, members of this club have over years treated me with distain, made unfounded accusations against and even had my own fans threaten and verbally abuse me and my wife I’ve taken it all, now short changed on performances and general service from attending the Arena with now having paid for all the upgrades and the new scoreboard, with the standard on the decline I think I’ve served my time and I’m finally giving up on them.
I will become what this owner wants, someone who attends occasionally as part of a night out and pays full price for a ticket.

My concern now with regards to the season ending is that the Panthers won’t refund any monies for the missed games A silver lining of a kind is the fact the EIHL will hardly be the only sports league in the UK that functions almost purely on gate/match revenue, which puts a lot of others in the same boat. Likely so many to the point none of the governments can really ignore them being in such large numbers. So that gives me some hope government relief of some kind could be offered to help clubs out with lost income/refunds.

Nothing has been decided for this current season and whatever does happen will be out of their hands.

If i had a season ticket and Panthers didn’t fulfil the correct amount of games for any reason then I’d want a pro rata refund. They’re always quick to take the money so should be equally quick to give it back.

The clubs and potentially the league could fall into catagories already outlined in yestdays budget. I'd imagine theyd come under the label small or medium sized business. I rekon less than 250 employees so whilst not ideal they should be elidgable for some loans to help out. Thats my best guess. As for if anything else comes for sports teams. Who knows at this point, but indeed there will be a hell of a lot across many sports needing help.

I know the cynics will jump straight to the negative here but what is the reality of what this could mean? Anybody out there with any educated insite? Some dodgy individuals finding a way to make a few quid out of a disaster? Or Potentially a smart move that could save the league and keep it going(perhaps going backrupt and starting again under this company)? Or something else, perhaps relating to a new team and entirely coincidental regards timing?

Scenario.. Last part of the 19-20 season is cancelled. Fans ask 'what of the 19-20 ST?' Panthers claim a rise was due equal to what people have lost on the last season gone. So same price tickets as 19-20 with the upcoming 20-21 now. Bingo, all sorted for new season bar for those who are not renewing for 20-21. They have to take the loss. Thus a carrot in there for them too.

No, I had made the decision a few months ago........ to be fair I was pretty gutted that the P/O Quarter Final has turned out to be on the ST as I’d been looking forward to not going anymore once I’d made my decision and got got the games I had paid for.
Now, it looks like I won’t get any reimbursement for the missing game’s unless I was going to go for another ST (which I am not going to do).

Why not include next seasons challenge cup home games on next year's season ticket as pay back for games lost this year

This is my own personal choice, and I know other people’s opinions will differ, but I would be willing to let the club keep any money that they would be willing to reimburse, if it means we are in a stronger position next season.

Very happy with that too IF next season even starts. I can't see this being over in just a few months and I can't see a lot of imports wanting to travel either.

That registered address is Steelers HQ office about 1/2 mile from where I live. Wonder what they are up to? Todd Kelman was previously involved in a company with the initials PML when in Belfast.

I bet they knew on the 9th March 2020 that the EIHL was finished for the season.
