Isn’t it better and maybe healthier to just watch and enjoy the sport, if you can do that then that’s good. If you can’t what’s the point in having a crusade and getting into politics that’s not going to alter anything but just raises blood, pressure. Stay Safe. It is definitely better to just watch the sport and enjoy it without getting too involved or knowing too much. If I had my time over again that’s exactly what I would do, just watch the games, keep my distance and keep my money in my pocket. Unfortunately, when you’ve been there, got too involved and seen and heard plenty of the behind the scenes stuff that goes on then it’s very very difficult to forget or ignore it. I moan and I criticise yes, mainly to try and avoid anybody falling into the trap I did. I see it a lot from the seemingly blinded and think to myself....jeez if only you knew !

I have a saying which is the closer you get to a club, the less you enjoy the game, when you know Jack all and all the players are your heroes it’s a great sport to follow, when you get involved and you know this guy is trouble in the dressing room, that guy is a egoist and so on it’s not clever. I got very close and involved with the Devils years ago and my enjoyment wained a lot, That then was the time to get back to basics, and back to what attracted me in the first place, the actual game I now am just a punter, a avid punter admitted but now just a fan. If I hadn’t backed off then probably in time well who knows what would have panned out, but I didn’t want to lose my love for what I think is the greatest sport on the planet. Stay Safe.

This is the issue Glynne. I know your history with the previous Cardiff regime very well so I completely understand why you are so close to your team again now. I admire your renewed passion.
Some Panthers posters here remember all too well. They've seen far too much, first hand in many cases.
Ultimately there's no escaping the fact that the Panthers league record is a complete and utter joke for all they earn/take from the paying fans. Absolutely no one can tell me the org. are doing all they can to be as successful as possible.

Our owners with your facilities, and your fan base would be untouchable maybe, the difference is that it’s very personnel in Cardiff, it’s a lot more clinical in Arenas. The Panthers to me were so compared to us in the old gaff, your home is the dogs in one way, and not the mutts Nutts in another. But it’s still about the game, it has to be about the game, when you get away from that there’s very little point. All us guys want is to be entertained, give us that and we are happy bunnies. Stay Safe.

Neil Black has come out of isolation to speak to Chris Ellis. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p08dpx3mAll I hear is that the league doesn't happen with social distancing measures still in place, which is a surprise to nobody but there is no mention of them attempting a webcast model so we can put that idea to bed. He tried to keep things positive but really there wasn't any good news in this. I appreciate him being cagey on player announcements and things behind the scenes because any contracts signed now mean nothing until there is a league structure confirmed, which given the COVID outlook won't happen until next year. EDIT: Just to add, no mention of season ticket refunds for those who are in need of them during a pandemic and imminent recession and aren't in a position to make a generous donation to the club via waiving their right to a refund.

The same Chris Ellis who bottled asking any serious & meaningful questions to Neil Black months back when Panthers season was in crisis.... On a side note the premier league are also aware that the whole of next seasons Premier league season may have to be played without fans in the stadiums... If that's the case & EIHL want next season to go ahead as others have suggested webcast season tickets or similar may be the only viable option... Attachments:

Amazing coincidence that,we were only saying a day ago how Panthers ought to be putting out a statement over the current situation....and hey presto,it’s like magic. 🤣 Oh the power of the mighty cage. Amazing seeing as they supposedly don’t read it !

Amazing seeing as they supposedly don’t read it ! They do Iginla... or at very least did. Remember a few years ago someone on here was selling a genuine 1950s Panthers jacket (you can still find the thread on here) if you look. Well lo & behold the jacket was bought by the club & hangs in the the Panthers office to this day. i work for the same company as the partner of the woman who was selling it.... & initially when the 1st enquiry was made, the woman from Panthers office neglected to state that they were interested on behalf of the Panthers....

The only thing that comes from that is that next season is very unlikely to happen. Social distancing doesn't work in an indoor arena/venue.

Amazing seeing as they supposedly don’t read it ! You mean that 'little forum' that GM calls it By supporter numbers at a match it is 'little' compared to regular writers on here. Especially post season. Yet numbers reading are of a higher number. As well as the fact that those making comment are (get this) astute, knowledgeable ( I'll stop there) people. Many reading but not adding comment could possibly agree and I think to act upon certain things mentioned here is not a bad thing. You just wish the fans didn't have to debate it first.

Based on all above comments, social distancing must be maintained which is impossible in any venue , store, street, school, office etc. As such we should all stay home never leave the house, Uber all groceries and hope the TV does not quit. Stupidity and fear at its peak....

Stupidity and fear at its peak.... Social distancing can be achieved in the workplace if policed correctly like our company has done. Not so easy in schools and impossible at entertainment venues. Its that simple it's not for fear at all. Its how it is. Deal with it

So if I enjoy myself most weeks going to the games, am I blinded by the product, or burying my head. I'm sorry but, given how vocal you were regarding the EIHL etc when Cardiff were a basket case team, being dragged through the mud by incompetent owners, your 'Road to Damascus' like conversion smacks firmly of "I'm alright Jack". Just because everything is now rosy in Cardiff doesn't make it so across the entire EIHL.

Any team making any signing announcement right now is either naive, deluded, brave or a bit of all 3..
Hey the eihl is far from rosy.. quite the opposite, problem too many are in denial

Sorry if I upset anyone, that was the last thing I wanted to do, this league depends on everyone pulling together, and working together. No team can manage without the other that’s a fact, every team is as important as the next, and if I sent out the wrong vibes then I apologise for that. That was never ever my intention believe me, stay safe all and hopefully we can all get back to watching our favourite sport, and having a beer with each other sooner than later.
