Tough game with the Storm battling for a play-off spot. They have a solid, if unspectacular side this term and will give any opponent a rough ride in the Altrincham Freezer. A real coin toss this one. Storm 2 : Panthers 3 in overtime is the official Grapes Count.

I've enjoyed this little break from domeatic action myself. Been quite refreshing to be able to switch off from it for a week or so. Hopefully the guys have managed to do similar and are back refreshed and ready fo this one. It's always a bit of a double edged sword though, we could easily go in and start slowly against a team without a lay off. Hopefully we can get going pretty quickly and get the job done up there again.
Storm 2 Panthers 5

Bulmer not playing tonight as a precautionary measure, Rheault also doesn’t play due to an upper body injury...
At least Deutsch is back in the line up.

I find the Panthers to be the most honest, open, transparent and trustworthy organisation in the world bar none!

I suppose 1 dropped point in Manchester this season isnt that bad. Our penalty shots are awful though

Disappointing not to get 2 points tonight but it’s not the end of the world. I don’t think we made Manchester work hard enough for their goals, Carr was unlucky with their 2nd but he played well tonight and made some outstanding saves. The penalty shots were very disappointing though.
We’ve taken 5 league points from the 6 available in Altrincham this season, which is very good. The boys shouldn’t feel too deflated imo. On to a massive weekend.

Only 15 games to wait for another crack (and the last) at silverware.

Only 15 games to wait for another crack (and the last) at silverware. There will be more twists and turns in the league this season, nothing is done with yet.

99% of our forwards are utter cr@p It can't be quite that high or you'd be partially tarring Herr with the crap brush!

Pretty hard to defend a team when most of the time if Herr doesnt carry them then no one does especially against what is a pretty shoddy manchester team and not the start to 5 in 9 days that i guess everyone was hoping/expecting...
This coupled with the fact the club must have known about desantis release most likely a couple of weeks ago, not really knowing when Deutsch would be back and knowing at least Rheault was unlikely to play and a possible niggle of bulmer and yet again this club is not doing everything it can to at least give steelers a run for their money but when have panthers ever done that anyway..

In fairness Manchester has beaten Panthers twice, Giants twice, Steelers and Devils, so for a shoddy team they can be a big threat.

Herr had 15 shots last night on his own. Incredible.
In shootouts, Panthers are 4 for 18 shots this season. Our opposition are 8 for 17. Herr's PS last night was the first PS all season, in 13 attempts, that Panthers have scored in a shootout with Carr in net. Perlini is 0 for 4 in shootout attempts.
