Rheault needs to just go, let him finish his course but tell him to just stop showing up at the NIC. It's ridiculous, the fact Gui and Tim wont bring in a replacement for him makes the mind boggle.

Ouch! This one stung.
We passed up way too many chances, went in on Bowns 3/4 times and fluffed it, then Rheault takes a dumb penalty and two scruffy goals later we’re on our arse. Matter of time before the found the winner.
Sadly, what a difference a week makes! Very difficult to recover from the last 3 games.

At least the team seem to know where the self destruct button is.

Obviously a nightmare, but almost as obvious is the extreme slimness of the chances either of these two would’ve had against Sheffield. Silver lining? Maybe? I'm not sure I'm getting you here - do you mean neither Panthers nor Devils stand a chance against Sheffield in the final? With panthers you might have a point, but Devils have beaten Shuff 3 out of 4 times this season...??

Defeat snatched from the jaws of victory, a Panthers speciality. The difference being, in the third their forwards were clinical, ours predictably were not. Thought Connolly was excellent however but Reault can just bugger off now. He doesn’t give a toss and it shows.

Absolutely gutted
We were the best team for 50 minutes but as usual we cannot finish teams off!
Some madness in defence and we lose
Meh

To be in such a good position and let the game finish like that, it really, really hurts.
The stupidity from Rheault to cancel out our power play was frustrating. We then kicked their 2nd goal into our own net which was that little bit more annoying. What tipped it for me though was Horvat trying to offer Marjamaki out in their own zone, at 3-3, leaving an odd man rush and their RW’er tapped the puck in.
We lost all composure and discipline in the last 10 mins. Wallace has done a lot of good things for us this season but tonight he made a mistake in not calling a time out after their 3rd goal.
We were all over the place and he needed to calm the team down, steady the ship, halt Cardiff’s momentum, but he didn’t. That was a poor decision.
For 50 mins tonight I was impressed, but we’ve managed to undo all that good work in 10 mins. Very dissapointed.

Ultimately we got what we deserved thanks to the shambolic last 10 minutes or so. What has happened to Bowns? He looked awful. And please don't wear those shirts again - they're gross!!

Only we could press the self destruct button, I’m beyond miffed off. It’s alright saying Wallace should have bought players in but at the end of the day it’s NB that holds the purse strings. I hope Wallace sees what he’s up against with this ownership, he’s on a hiding to nothing unfortunately.

Id like to again call on our house Stattos to provide some info. I rekon our top line were at least -2 tonight. Im certain Herr was on the ice for 2 of the 3rd period goals at least.
I think we are now really seeing the damage playing short and relying so heavily on one line is doing.
Those guys are playing far to many minutes. The good teams are learning how to keep them quiet amd they are now spending more amd more time in the defensive zone as opposed to where we need them, in the offensive zone.

Just as well they are not rebuilding with a new coach They are, and they’ve spent a lot more money than us judging from the players they’ve got, the players we’ve got and our corresponding positions in table. But what has that got to do with our game against Cardiff tonight?

And if Sheffield fail to win something this year it's a massive failure. With the amount they looked to have spent

Herr was on the ice for all of their goals, he wasn’t at fault for any of them but he did seem quiet in terms of offence. As you say, he’s probably feeling it after being leaned on for the last two months...

And if Sheffield fail to win something this year it's a massive failure. With the amount they looked to have spent Is it?? The task Fox was given at the start of the season was to close the gap on Cardiff and Belfast. Well, he's took us past Belfast and certainly closed the gap on Cardiff. I haven't spoken to one Steelers fan that would see this season as a massive failure if we won nothing. Yes, you could say frustrating with the position we are in. A massive failure, no most definately not. We like where we are right now. Massive strides in one summer as a whole club. The future is looking good at the moment, we are all excited by it right now.

Panthers fans need to accept that their owner and management just don’t care enough or have the same passion or will to win as their fans. Simple as that really !

The good teams are learning how to keep them quiet amd they are now spending more amd more time in the defensive zone as opposed to where we need them, in the offensive zone. House statto. I'll take this one. 41/21/9 (17 being demoted to the other lines last night) were on for goals 3 and 4. Herr was on for the 4 on 4 goal too, so was -3 and pointless for the night. He's not looked his former self that last few games, personally, I think he's carrying a knock. Panthers had 4 lines last night but only played 3 in the second and third. That's what's hurting for me; having perfectly decent players on the bench. Tetlow, Kelsall and Hazeldine can do a job, but TW doesn't seem to see it that way at all, especially in games like this. And effectively benching an import forward. As far as I could tell, Devils iced 4 forward lines all night. It's the new buzz word, but Panthers' game management was very poor indeed. 3-1 up, 10 minutes to go, Devils in the ascendency, but have to do twice in 10 minutes what they've managed once in 50. As soon as it got to 3-2, Panthers' heads went, it was all scramble, panic and try and do it all yourself. Devils looked on a permanent PP. I also can't quite believe the face off stats, Panthers apparently won 30 of 66. I may even go through the game face off by face off, I'm that surprised. I don't remember Lacho winning one all night, yet he was apparently 7 for 11, which is astonishing for him this season. (I'm happy to be proved wrong on this, BTW) That chance Ollie had in the third when the puck bounced out from the back boards was the game. Score that, it's 4-1, game done. Not a dig at Ollie, though, he's scored some great goals from similar this year, just an illustration of the knife edges that games like this are won and lost on.

Panthers fans need to accept that their owner and management just don’t care enough or have the same passion or will to win as their fans. Simple as that really ! The game, at 3-1 with 10 to go, was winnable 9 times out of 10. Devils have to chase it, stay out of the box and hit them on the break. For some reason it just wasn't last night. Don't think you can blame the owner for that. Coach, maybe. I was expecting a time out at 3-3 certainly, possibly even at 3-2. Steady the ship, calm some nerves, but no. TW let them carry on playing and panicking, and the result is for all to see. Less than 2 minutes after 3-3, Devils win it with a scrappy, greasy goal.
