By the tweets it sounds like the refs are being a tad 'homers'. The Twitter account being entirely neutral of course So 'Official' is being bias and giving me an incorrect account of things?

I think the tint on their glasses is pretty strong, going by reading it all season.
Sheffield have won on overtime.

Steelers 3-5 down with 5 minutes to go and get 2 points. That's how you win championships.

Then again. As Official as the Elite OS is, the game sheet has both sides players having SOG in the 30's yet over two periods only a few accounted for. How is this a 'live' record? Edit: They have put the game score into the SOG column. Hells bells.

And that's the season gone. 13 points back now. Cups and playoffs left to play for.

Steelers come back from 5-3 down with 5 remaining to win in OT with what was apparently the dangle of the season from Lemtyugov.
Of course.

4-2, only our Captain Herr PPG. Has to whether this weekend could be where our Race is run, its far from over in my opinion, IF we get any new guys in for injury cover in the coming days then it could give us a edge plus we still have 4 games in hand and with Sheffield currently 2-3 down away at the Blaze into 3rd there is a glimmer of hope so we are has Wolfmac said wait till valentines day and we'll see. That ‘glimmer” has just been extinguished. Oh well there’s always next season.

Money = success I've been around long enough watching this league to know thats how it works The positive is Panthers have got a platform to build on for next year.. theres a core he I would re-sign now!

I have had a feeling that we have been rebuilding this year. We could be saying the same again next year. The stark facts are that since we won the league we have not looked like winning it again and that was after a long drought. As long as the Blacks are running the show and do not invest at the same level as others it will be the same. However the Cup is still a possibility and of course the playoffs - but there again that has been said before.

Not if they lose Herr they haven’t and judging by that latest two hour interview where he said he came to Europe to “showcase” he’ll be off next season. Plus Talbot,Lepine,Connolly,Matheson and DeSantis are ageing and aren’t exactly gonna be here for years either,Rheault will retire thank god,Malmquist and Golovkovs ain’t doing enough to come back and Bulmer and Horvat aren’t exactly pulling any trees up either. So who they gonna build on ?

All successful clubs in any sport stems from the ambitions of the ownership... if Black identifys the players he wants to keep it's up to him and offer good pay rises.. and let tim and Gui build something

I'd keep Hansen and Horvat as depth players as well as Herr of course

Sadly the lack of action from the club in covering injuries could be damaging more than our title changes. That team has bust a gut in recent months and managed to get back in the title race. That looks all but blown because we havn't invested. Those players who are still giving it their all will be noticing the lack of support whilst other clubs support their teams. This could be the difference between coming back and not. I tell you one thing. If Sam Herr signs for any other EIHL club next season(cant see him being here at all) then I wont be attending regardless of how this season pans out. Thats not a simple as us losing our best player. It would evidence clearer than ever before how something is massively wrong at this club. We still have a chance of a decent end to this season so I still want to get behind this team, including Tim and Gui. Im really not happy at the lack of support at such a key time though.

Apart from Herr the only player at the right age worth keeping to build on would be Hansen.

Herr aside, who really deserves one? Who said pay ries? I didnt! You are trying to put words into my mouth and miss the point!!! Its not a pay rise for the some of existing squad, its making better offers when recruiting. Regarding Herr, he will have been noticed by clubs in other countries. If Pither received a better offer to go to Germany I am sure Herr will too and of course he might be back in the America next season.

We just have to hope we can offer him a good enough package to pair with the fact he enjoys it here. If he is happy with what he has and being the hero rather than going to be an average player in a better league appeals to him then you never know. I really hope those things come into play, im just not convinced they will.

Hey believe me if a team from the DEL come calling with a financial package to lure the leagues best player away I wouldn't complain in the slightest

Hey believe me if a team from the DEL come calling with a financial package to lure the leagues best player away I wouldn't complain in the slightest Agreed if a DEL/EBEL/Liiga/NLA/Czech team came along for Herr you can't really blame Panthers for that. But if i were Gui and Tim i'd be throwing as big a financial package as possible to keep him and throw in and make use of uni deal for a change instead of wasting them on players like Rheault. If that's still not enough then fair enough. As for the core fore next year i wouldn't keeping the whole D. If Fick, DeSantis or Lepine can be upgraded then fair enough but i'd like to see Matheson, Connelly and Deutsch back. Forward wise i'd have Talbot, Hansen, Bulmer and Horvat but replace Malmquist, Golovkovs and Rheault with some more firepower
