Panthers all-out for third win on the bounce to, hopefully, secure the "Tea Tray" for a second time. Hope we mangle their Machanka ( pork stew ) and destroy their Draniki ( potato pancakes ). Think would defence is the key decider I this one and looking for massive games from Carr and Matheson. The Grapes Count = a narrow 2-1 Panthers victory.

We've asked for solid finishing which didn't happen in the last two games. NOW is the time to convert.

That first game will haunt us now the home side beat the Belarus side. But does winning a game and The Danish side not, go in our favour in any way?

No. The only way we are out of it completly is a regulation win for the Danes. That will put them on 7 points. A regulation win would put us on 7 points. The tie breaker is head to head which they won.

Don’t think the Poles will help us any they have nothing to play for, stick their backup in and let the hosts score a bagful. Seen it all before. (Hopefully I’m wrong)

Krakow already did us a big favour going for the 3 points. If they'd taken it to OT, managed to win it, then they'd still be in with a reasonable shout. Combined with tonight's result, a reg win for them and us tomorrow would've left us both tied at the top on 5 and they'd have won on head-to-head.
Hindsight I guess, but I bet they're ruing it a bit tonight. And we can't really complain about favours from them.

Hate to say it but it’ll be a dead rubber. I can’t see the Danes letting their game slip when it’s all in their hands.
It’s a shame that the tie breaker isn’t in our favour and penalty shots are potentially the difference but can only blame ourselves.
I really hope I’m wrong but I just don’t see it.

If we can't win the thing come face off, I don't care if Wallace and Doucet ice, Sam Herr doesn't play.
It would be just typical for him to get injured for a meaningless game

TBH, I wonder if there will be changes to this competition from next season. Especially the uproar over empty net goals effecting Goal Difference and o wonder if they will experiment with 3 points for a win regardless if it's regulation or overtimr

If the Danes win, we will have a change in netminder and as said Wallace can have a skate.

Currently 2-0 to SonderjyskE. Looking like this will be a dead rubber.

Krakow are at least putting some effort it. They certainly arn't just laying down for them. Had 1 or 2 good chances to get 1 back in the last few minutes. Cant see it though. Almost certainly a dead rubber this evening but whilst Krakow keep having a go there is still the smallest of chances.

Is it even worth playing this game, gonna have the play off weekend 3rd place game vibe.
Don't know Grodno's next game is but can't see them wanting to play it either

Can't expect to win a 3 game tournament when you're showing up a day and a half late.
Conserve energy today, start whistle, give Wallace, Tetlow, Kelsall and Rheault some big minutes to save the likes of Sam Herr. Still got a hectic schedule for the rest of the month including a tough set of cup semi-finals.

The biggest downside to hockey at this level especially combined with a tournament like this is the lack of a squad. Could really do with non of the senior players playing at all. Would be great to send a load of kids out and gives the guys are game off. Still, if theyd have got the job done Friday they wouldn't be in this situation.

We only lucked into a point in the first game and you needed to win all three realistically

So effectively we’ve gained nothing other than more injuries from this competition. Just Great.
