Dundee Stars’ new signing Matt Carter could make his debut against his former team this weekend.
The former Nottingham Panthers winger, who played in the Continental Cup winning team in 2017, could be set for a return to the Motorpoint Arena for his new team after joining Omar Pacha’s side.

As an ex Panther he will only skate backwards and play one-handed and get 50 goals between now and February

+ Good to great hands, will score goals if you get his linemates right. - an appear lazy, not very physical.
Indeed, good mates with Chris Lawrence. As one of the very few players I've ever met, seemed a very decent chap.

My honest opinion of Matt Carter is that he was one of the worst imports we've had since i started watching in 2010 not including ones who were only here a handful of games. He was god awful

One of the three amigo's, grew up with Chris Lawrence and Jeff Brown. As is Panthers way was lorded as something he was not. Scored some nice goals but not enough of them, really nice guy tho' and will now probably score a shedload of goals for you and make us lot look like liars...lol They always come back and bite you on the bum.

In the top 10 worst imports i've seen (since 2006)
Like others have said, slick hands, will score the occasional highlight reel goal. but turns up 1 game in 20.
Should never have seen the year out with Panthers, but i guess that was an indication of how bad that team was.
Hope he does well for you guys

According to Omar Pacha....“Carter is a very hungry forward who is not afraid to go to the dirty areas”. 😳 Crikey i reckon there must be two Matt Carters out there in the hockey world ! 🤣

The problem with carter for Nottingham is he was brought in to be a top line goal scorer, which he isn’t. Lazy and won’t do much in the corners but give him space on the ice and he can score. If I was Dundee’s coach I definitely wouldn’t have signed him.

Strange moves from Dundee, I thought Pearce and Maylan were two of their better players in the games we played them.
They’ve brought in Alex Schoenborn, who brings size, PIMs and an ok points record, and Matt Carter. Of the two I think Schoenborn is the better pickup. I think the Dundee fans will be very disappointed in Carter.

Nice bloke.
Not very good at Hockey (for us).
But a nice bloke.
Likes a beer or 10 - was a big part of the Lawrence/MacMillan brigade.
Very strange signing for Dundee.

Will not see out the season with the Stars. Quite a prediction from a so far 2 game stint. Unless (drum roll) you know something we don't?
