Looking at last nights game, Whistle and Wallace must wonder what Whistle has to do to win a game. He was solid enough, and made a couple of spectacular stops. Perhaps the problem is he tires and isn't as sharp as the game gets towards the end, but he can't be blamed for the train wreck that was the first goal, a man being left alone in front for the second goal, and a double screen for the 3rd. If we had won the game 6-3 we could put up with the 3 he conceded, but it's not his fault the forwards don't take their chances.

Did Perlini not play last night? (I didn't go and he's not on the gamesheet) Injured?

Looking back at the highlights Storm got some luck in the first and Ginn made some good stops. We let them into the game too easily though, Deutsch will be kicking himself after that turnover.

Perhaps the problem is he tires and isn't as sharp as the game gets towards the end, Stats don't really back that up. Whistle's save % in all games played in, by period. 1 90.70 2 89.16 3 90.28 Carr's 1 94.92 (!) 2 92.59 3 88.43 If anything, it's Carr who "tires" in the third... How very interesting.

The club have said it’s not as bad as they feared and we’re looking at a few weeks before he’s back. He’s been in great form this season so I’m hoping he’s back for the New Years games.

And folks seem to conveniently forget that Carr 'the form Goalie' let 3 in on each of the two previous Sunday 'train wreck' performances (3 out of 6 being directly his fault - imho). Perhaps we should just stop playing on Sundays?!

Let the Arena have saturdays for Concerts etc.

Perhaps we should just stop playing on Sundays?! There is a lot in the Sunday thing actually. Tons of effort and energy on Saturday then nerves come in on Sunday. Finnerty has been doing this a long time now so after a 5-1 thumping last time he made changes and threw us. BIG problem is when forwards are not scoring (bar Herr) we are under pressure all game. The D ends up right up the ice continually and we make it harder and harder for ourselves. Two things I bet have already been noted by Wallace, we have one forward wasting a wage and two more lightweight forwards where one would be enough. We are not particularly fast as a team and the replacements brought in mid season shows a move back to the North American style of play.
