Panthers starting to stumble and Devils getting on a roll. This should be a textbook Devils win, but it's the sort of game we inexplicably get a result from.
I'm going 4-1 Devils and hoping for a bit of Yote magic.

I see Cardiff having too much depth on home ice. The Grapes Count = Devils 4 : Panthers 2.

Golovkovs returns for this one, DeSantis out with lower body injury, Tetlow part of the 6D.

1-0 Panthers. Matheson with a cool finish on the edge of the blue paint.
Playing well and forcing turnovers on the forecheck. Giving Devils a lot of possesion and Martin should have buried one after Carr makes the initial save, but sent it over the net from 5ft out.

Golovkovs returns for this one, DeSantis out with lower body injury, Tetlow part of the 6D. This is the set up we should have and I imagine what was always intended with a fully fit squad. 5 import D plus Tetlow(with a spare) allowing the extra forward really helps. Without it we only really have 2 scoring lines. The only problem has been Rheaults form. Replace him/add 1 more quality forward and we look so mich stronger this way. So far a fantastic performance in Cardiff.

Listening to the recent after the roar podcast I think the plan based on what GD said was to go with the 6 import D to aid Tetlows development by using him as and when the situation would arise. He did explained that’s why he’s recently been sent to Phantoms to allow him to log more minutes in a wider variety of situations than we can utilise him for. Tetlow is still very young and is in the development stage of his career so needs to be nurtured correctly. Based on our recent additions in the forward lines I feel this is the right way to utilise him.

Based on our recent additions in the forward lines I feel this is the right way to utilise him. Doucet did say that the other day. Injuries have forced us to go with 6 import D, but I do believe that Doucet and Wallace have witnessed Rheault’s ineffectiveness, comibined with his Uni deal, and decided that we’ll stick with 6 import D going forward. If we continue this way, I do believe that: Herr - Perlini - Hansen Malmquist - Talbot - Bulmer Horvat - Betteridge - Golovkovs Provides some good firepower on current form. The only problem we now face is that Perlini looks to be injured, courtesy of a rough hit from Haddad that didn’t receive a call...

Yes, yes, yes TBH, I would have been happy with a point Me too!😂That win is massive though, solid as a team and we created a lot of golden opportunity’s even when they brought it back to 2-2. 4/4pts in Wales so far though. There’s something about this team that I love right now, can’t wait for tomorrow!

We might have a decent run till Christmas!

I bloody love this team!!
Even if we come up empty handed this season, this has been the best team (October onwards) we’ve had in years.

That was an entertaining game to watch (good stream from Cardiff)... the Devils were throwing everything at us, including the kitchen sink, but we held them off pretty well. How the hell our second goal sneaked in, I'll never know... but it was a beauty. As was Ollie's OT winner. Two very useful points well earned... just hope that Perlini is going to be OK.

Yes, yes, yes TBH, I would have been happy with a point Actually it was us that was happy with a point, after being 2-0 down to get back against a very good panthers team, to be 2-2 in reg time was a bonus. Having said that we messed up big time in OT. But overall Panthers deserved both points tonight . Well played lads.

Generally, if we were offered 1 point away to Cardiff before the game we will take it. Also we're not very good when it goes to O/T and P/S so this is an unexpected bonus. Anyway thanks

It was a fantastic performance. Considering the opposition, one of the best of the season. As many have said, this team os really growing on me and igniting my interest again more and more. The only slightly dissapointing thing from the game was that we didn't take it in regulation. Not because im annoyed we let it slip or because of any silly errors, just simply because I thought we played so well we probably deserved to win it in regulation.
One question though. Genuinely couldn't tell properly even watching the replays. In the last 2 minutes was it a complete empty net the Panthers player had left after getting around Bowns before the Dman came and took it off his stick? It looked like he litterally had the puck on the goal line before the Dman came in and cleared it.

That chance you’re talking about was one of those ones we’ll want back but that’s sport!

That chance you’re talking about was one of those ones we’ll want back but that’s sport! It really is phenomenal. A few key changes and probably more importantly some key players having a huge turn around in form. Non more than Bulmer. I'm convinced he must have been injured or seriously unfit to start the season.
