We'll be too fast for the likes of Gagnon. We were really slow last year, look far faster now which is really good to see. Trouble is the size of Storms pad, our big guys had no problem when we were in the tent, Voth etc flourished on that pad.

Not convinced tbh. If these are top liners we dont stack up well with Steelers and Devils.
This is now a rebuild season for me, i think we're battling for forth.

I like our quicker side, swarm tactics is the way forward. Can't see us challenging the top three mind you.

I have always been a fan of Aristotle, who of course said “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts”
I think this team will deliver more than some may fear. I’m confident we can have a good season.

Happy with both these! just think we need to add a tessier type stud of a centre now to lead the front line Only thing that slightly worries me is we are only going to have 12 forwards, id like to see a 13th forward even its a young brit from the juniors If Kelsall & Hazeldine count as forwards then one more signing make 13. Im sure Hazeldine is a D man, basically after the last forward is signed we will have 6 D 12 Forwards plus Hazeldine, i think we will need abit more depth than that

I’m confident we can have a good season. Problem is we've seen teams put together by Aristotle before. In our league you often need a few go to players to get the job done when everyone else is hungover, not convinced we've got any as yet. So long as the hockey he gets them to play isn't as mind numbing as Chernoclue or latter Neilson, then I'm not all that bothered.

Because they defend well and hit their opponents on the counter, a better version of that and I reckon Steelers and Devils will struggle to handle us

Last year we had big lumbering giants, this year we look like we've got so much more speed.
So I'm looking forward to seeing some hard working, fast, exciting hockey - at this stage and with Panthers last few seasons as a backdrop, I'm very happy.
Will we win the league, mmmm not sure, will we feel the team gave us value for money and entertained us - I think there's a very good chance they will.

For what it’s worth, both Steelers and Cardiff fans are mildly stressed about size and toughness this season too, which means a lot of the matches where it would otherwise be a difference-maker will see the sides cancel each other out with equal feebleness.

I certainly hope we arn't planning on playing defencively again at home. I'm all for trying it but after the last few dull seasons where it didn't work i'm hoping for more. The speed will still help us at times, but it wont be as simple as just getting behind them, because largely the other teams will just sit deep.

Sorry but I ain’t seeing these two as top liners, decent as second line maybe. All I’m seeing here is a comparison with Andreas Valdix and Yared Hagos and I don’t think many people would be happy with those two on Panthers top line. 🙄

But let's see them play a bit before we get too carried away, eh?

You can throw lindhargen in there aswell. We're short of goals. If Steelers had signed these 2 as top end forwards people would be happy.

I thought you didn't comment on signings.. I watched Hagos when he was 21 .. better then most centres in this league now.. he arrived in Sheffield washed up. I rated Valdix too. Ask steelere fans they will say among their better players in recent years .. vakdix, vestberg, Nilson.. oh yeah they are swedish Panthers ex swedes, Molin, Wallenberg, Carllson hardly disappointed

What is this weird logical fallacy everyone on this thread is buying into?
Being Swedish is not a hockey superpower that makes you magically good. Putting up points makes you good. These guys arent putting up enough for top liners imo.
