It’s the Panthers way though. This is exactly the sort of stuff and petulance that pee’s people and players off....and Panthers wonder why they lose out on players with the bad rep they’ve got. At least Farmer made a tweet from them if not the main news feed. Lol 😂 To be fair this was rumored all over social media. If Panthers had kept silent you'd be here bitchin about how they have no recpect for the fans and that they keep us in the dark. So they cant win. It’s the tone of the Tweet I guess people are moaning about? ‘Of course we would have liked to have him play for us next season and are therefore naturally disappointed but we wish him well for the future and thank him for his time with us’ or something similar might have been more pleasing? Of course, it is their right to Tweet whatever they want to Tweet

I’m not saying they should have announced it earlier even though they’ll have known for some time. But Farmer has been a good servant to Panthers so wish him well and at least make him feel he was valued. But no,in true Panthers fashion they announce it on Twitter, have a dig, claim he’s breaking a contract and act miffed. Let’s see what happens if he goes then and it doesn’t work out for him, would he come back ? I doubt it now,but he might have if Panthers hadn’t played the mardi card. Sorry but Panthers get all they deserve in my opinion, they should treat people better.

I actually agree with the club. They needed to make it clear it’s not them that are waivering on him signing. They have an obligation to inform fans of facts which is all they’ve done here That's fine, but why not say "The Panthers would love to have Robert playing in the black and gold in 2019-20, but he has informed us that he is exercising his option, within his current contract, to seek a club in Europe for the 2019-20 season and we wish him well."?

That’s exactly what they should have said. 👍

Maybe its because he hasn’t actually left yet? I think people are reading far too much into the wording of this tweet and twisting it to suit their own anti panthers agenda

If that was a totally watertight contract and Panthers could hold him to it then Farmer wouldn’t be leaving. What would have happened if last year Farmer had had a shockingly poor season and Panthers wanted rid, do you really think Panthers wouldn’t have excercised their get out option.

I read it as that they were being honest, I don’t personally see how else they could have said that he was under contract but potentially moving on

Whatver the situation is, he’s leaving, that’s it. As a club we should move on and look how we can improve.

Its only clear to you because you're determined to label anything negative towards the Panthers you can find. There is nothing there. Its just information.

No great shame. As has already been said, load up the ‘big 6’ and get the Brits to fill in the 4th line role. They’ve (the Brits) have had it too good for too long just cos of a passport.

Answer is Alf, great CV, started both seasons as number 1 & ended up back up. Point being you don't always get what you pay for & vice versa. You don’t always no but I think Uni stuffed Garnett,he was obviously still very capable but either couldn’t cope with it all or was more focussed on his studies than hockey. I never thought it was a good idea signing a goalie on a Uni deal, that was a dumb move. I’m not advocating signing washed up 35/36 year olds though I’d much rather see AHLers than NHLers. Reckon my top four is right on the wage front though. 😉 Just for you Pidge ! 🤣

So if Panthers remaining forwards are around 26-28 and have had experience in various euro leagues and some N.A. american league experience you wont moan 😉

Maybe reading too much into it, but panthers have just put new player's numbers up on the website but have not put up Golovkov's who has been 19 in the past. Maybe Farmer's move away is not as cut and dried as we thought?

Or it is #19 and they don't want pee'd off Panthers fans so leaving them clinging on to hope of his return until the season starts and he isnt here.

Or he hasn’t let the club know what number he wants

There is always a chance he wanted a different number at MK but it was taken, it could be literally any reason.
