He’s another wait and see signing. Could be pretty good might be average who knows. You need to see him play before you can judge him. Isn't every player a wait and see signing who is new to this league because I guarantee at 6.22pm tonight nobody had heard of Deutshe! Unless you have through dossier of every player who comes to this league nobody knows how he will play. I've had a right laugh on twitter tonight with people saying hes played in a poor league etc.. wow just wow Really?😂

So why am I reading that this guy is a “top top signing” or “he’s going to be great” when we’ve no idea. He might be good he might be reasonable, but he’s played 17 SHL games,Erik Lindhagen played well over 200 SHL and 200 Allsvenskan games but he wasn’t a top top Swedish player. Yes Lindhagen could skate and he had energy but there wasn’t a lot else to him. People need to think a bit more, when Panthers sign a player and the signing is criticised people often say “ah but wait until you’ve seen him play” etc and yet other signings that don’t look that much different are somehow “awesome signings” or “a top top player”. I don’t get it I really don’t,unless we already know a player well it’s just a guess, maybe a reasonably educated guess but it’s still a wait and see.

Tweet From Jan Sauve "You guys will love him!! Great player and amazing person!!" What we seemed to lack last season was character. Hopefully this is a consideration this season, which cannot be measured in Stats

Regards your point, on paper Lindhagen looked like a great signing, he turned out be ok but, as you say, I thought he’d be better. The reason Lindhagen played where he did was obviously because of his versatility. Even with the example of Lindhagen I still think Deutsch will be a great player. I’ll put a question to you though, would you rather we’d signed Deutsch or a defender out of the ECHL?

I do agree that he’s a wait and see signing, but I’m waiting in anticipation rather than hesitation. The fact that we’ve signed a player who’s only 24 and has had experience in far better leagues than ours gives me hope he’s going to be a good player.

Most important thing for me is this guy has potential. Similar to Fick in a way. Looks to be improving year on year be it with points or games played in a higher league.
This guy should sit comfortably on the top or 2nd pairing.
Here's hoping to another righty two way Dman with a bit of size and i think we're looking pretty steady back there

Pedigree wise, he's a great signing. At 24 his best hockey should still be yet to come. Swedes are normally terrific skaters.

Looks like our coach rates him. He signed him to the KHL and his EBEL side. I reckon we must've been in for him at some point.

We all know he's bound to be a cheap dud, signed so that Panthers can further fleece the loyal fanbase and thus make tons more money for Mr Black. KHL, shmayHL.

Been talking to a Brynas season ticket holder. He rated Deutsche very highly and thinks he will do well over here. That will do for me over a bunch of people who had never heard of him before yesterday!
