Really Interesting graph that Hughes kept it together whilst everyone else was out at sea, then jumped overboard just as everyone clambered back on! Just to add, did his nosedive in form start to plummet after Cherno left...? Good question. Hughes was +18 in 36 games under Cherno (injured for 2, scratched for 3 straight) -2 from 19 under Strachan. +6 in his first 8 games under RS, -8 in the last 11. So it was really only those last dozen or so games that it went pear shaped. Last 8 games of the season, he was mostly paired with Lepine and the pair of them went -11 combined in that stretch. (Hughes -7, Lepine -4) Interesting stats - would still have him back, but dont pair him Lepine. Wish GL wasnt coming back

Time to get announcing some more players anyway. We need a minimum of 11 and you'd expect the team to be here in little over 6 weeks.

Hughes is only one of 3 players that were offered a contract, Surely we would have heard by now if they had accepted? Although they were offered before Doucet was officially announced whether he knew about them or not is another question. Really? Out of interest who were the other two? I also trust someone has told the Panthers organisation about these offers as well...!? I thought you were ITK ?

Possibly not now, Stewey was trying very hard to bash out a contract before he left, he wanted everything sorted. I'm surprised offers etc were made because at this time Doucet was not announced and you'd think he'd be involved somewhere along the line.

I edited the original post as I had added a further line about Stewey & how I know them but I'm not going into that. I have stated in another post about Doucet not being around.

In which case I'm getting at it's mighty charitable of Panthers to offer contracts out without the next regime being anywhere near in place. I can understand reaching out to certain players at season end exit interview time for sure... & the players mentioned would in theory be subject to certain kind of talks.

I thought you were ITK ? Stewart, Olsen & Hughes You think any of them will return? We already have 4 lefties on D so I think that puts Olsen out of the picture, Stewart supposedly didn’t get the deal he wanted so we can discount him, and that leaves Hughes. If he’s been offered a contract and he was happy in Nottingham then I could see him returning. I don’t think he had the season which would attract the attention and wages of better European leagues, so unless he can get a better deal in the ECHL then Nottingham might be his best option.

Ik glad news on Olsen hughes and Stewart went cold once Doucet came in as it possible means he IS getting the final say and that imports weren't signed prior to his arrival

We're quite on the backfoot already in losing Lee and likely losing Farmer. Is Ollie still an u23 or is he past that now? Assume Kelsall will be in the lineup every night, need a u23 backup goalie too with Gospel being in Leeds.
Lots to be done in not a massive amount of time but let's see what Doucet can get done.

I kept losing track of where Ollie sat, but somebody(Yotes I believe) stated he was an under 23 for this season too. So still 3 to get in theory.

To say they’re in the CHL, it’s not like Cardiff and Belfast are massively ahead in terms of players signed. 6 and 5 imports respectively.
Cardiff haven’t confirmed Richardson or Myers in the Brit pack either

That’s pretty disrespectful against a player who gave his best for you guys, Guildford wouldn’t take a bad player.
