Reserve judgement on this one. Good luck to him though.
Panthers haven't helped him with the wind up either.

Agreed Yotes, comparing the two I think everyone would choose Taylor and to do the gif thing was just setting themselves up. Oh well he might to turn out to be great ... who knows. As a side note, Carr is on Twitter and is going to see the reaction of everyone asking why it isn’t Taylor. Not good

Well given all the Taylor wind ups on Twitter all day this is a very underwhelming signing

Don’t really care abou the social media content that much....but this just seems like a really dumb way of announcing a signing. Fans underwhelmed, and probably some pressure on Carr.

Must say I really don’t approve of the Taylor wind ups. Not so bad when it’s the likes of Fox on the wind up but when it coming direct from the club itself so contempt to its fan base especially when what they deliver isn’t as impressive

Not a bad Goalie. Very consistent throughout his career. Nice size, prime age and has a touch of experience on the big ice in EBEL.

Could turn out to be a belter, give the lad a chance. If you have faith in your coach, then have faith in your coach.

Feel for the guy to be honest, looks to be a decent signing but the Panthers have hung him out to dry (he had better get used to that feeling) a little bit today.

Just when things had started to look good the club openly trolls it’s own fans!!!!! Now Carr will be judged against a far better netminder just because someone at the club thought it was a bit of a laugh!!!! Think they ought to grow up and begin to treat their fans with a little bit of respect.

Looks ok, not outstanding on paper.
This is stupid by the club though. Way to shoot yourselves in the foot.

If Danny Taylor was never thought of in all this then this signing would be seen as pretty decent.. the Panthers media team haven't helped themselves here. Hopefully we have picked up a gem

My main worry is that Dave Simms appeared to know we hadn’t signed Taylor hours before this announcement was made which could suggest Taylor is Sheffield bound

Nothing surprises me with this club anymore, we aren't even a step behind.. we're an entire mountain behind the likes of Cardiff, Belfast and Sheffield.
The social media team are talented graphic designers but Jesus Christ, the whole 'lets make them think we've signed Danny Taylor since they keep mentioning him' debacle, for us to sign a pretty different guy.. it's just embarrassing. I'm not a fan of the way they announce things either, telling us we have signing news during the morning but not announcing it until the evening, just create the article and announce the bloody thing. I miss old Panthers who'd announce stuff in the middle of the night without warning.
If we ever do an announcement like Blaze's the other day I think I'll just snap my season ticket. Can't be doing with all of the pointless, cringeworthy nonsense.. and a CGI puck breaking through ice.
Anyway, Carr, looks decent. Thrown in at the deep end right after signing his contract, what a way to go. I hope he does well, I hope the defence actually defend this season and support him after hanging Garnett out to dry on many occasions.

Laughably bad PR for this one. At a stretch, I can almost force myself to guess at what they were going for. Carr, on his own merit, looks like he could be great, but he’ll be under a cloud until he’s had five good games now.

God knows what this guy is going to think, put down before He’s even started . Nothing at this club surprises me any more to how low they will stoop. Looking at his previous clubs he’s played with quite a few EIHL players past and present including ex panthers and Tim Wallace. Welcome to Nottingham Kevin

My main worry is that Dave Simms appeared to know we hadn’t signed Taylor hours before this announcement was made which could suggest Taylor is Sheffield bound There’s no secrets - agents will share info like that very freely in order to gauge interest for better deals for their players. I have to agree with all the above. If there’s no mention of Taylor, we’d have been pretty satisfied. Let’s be clear here: Doucet and Wallace will probably be as annoyed as we were about the Taylor rumours as it heaps all the pressure on their goalie from minute one. As far as I’m concerned, he gets a clean slate to work upon and I’ll base any judgment on his performance when he starts

This won’t look so embarrassing when they announce the number 1 goalie.

For a brief naive second, I though oh he’s gonna be the back up and then the Taylor announcement would follow. But obviously that was never the intention. I hopr Carr doesn’t see it or care. Why have others teams put our players down when we can do it ourselves?

This won’t look so embarrassing when they announce the number 1 goalie. He’s listed as the starter in the article on the website.

I just cannot get over how weird this is. The subtext to the whole affair seems only to be mocking the very idea they could land Taylor, which makes Panthers look small time.
