After 10 Seasons in Nottingham, Steve Lee departs for destination unknown (at this point).
Lee played 465 League games in black and gold, winning;
6x Challenge Cups
4x Playoffs
1x League
1x Continental Cup
I've criticised him over the last few seasons but a guy who plays with the Panthers logo on the front of their jersey for 10 years and helps bring back 11 domestic trophies and 1 European trophy, through blood, sweat and tears.. Sure has my respect. I hope he does well wherever he ends up next.

Very pleased with this news. In my opinion it is about four years too late.

Bob Westerdale has reported that Lee will be signing with Guildford. Which perhaps will fuel the rumours of Davies coming to us in a swap deal.

Lee is a very good Brit d-man and is a big loss to us.
Very best of luck to him going forward...except against us assuming he stays in the EIHL.

Was the Stephen Lee that turned out for GB in the Worlds different to the one turning out for you during the season?
Thought he had a pretty good Worlds.

He had some bad years, some average years and some good years.
The highlight that sticks out in my head for him was a diving stick backchecking against Steelers in the playoff semi-final to break up a 1 on 1 in the dying minutes to keep the scores level. Lacho would go on to score the OT winner...back when he knew where the net was.
Never doubted Lee's commitment so thank you for the service but we move on now.
If we don't have a Brit replacement lined up then Tetlow is going to have to have a big progressive year.

That play by Lee was his best in a Panthers Jersey and beatd those two goals he scored against Hamburg
