That store cupboard at Panthers HQ must be the size of a Asda superstore 🙄

So Bob.....tell us why Bermuda ? I’m assuming tax purposes. I'm no tax dodger, but yes, Bermuda has a favourable tax regime, I believe. Or could be any other reason too.

Just trying to get this straight in my head here, so the business structure goes: - Aladdin (management company for Panthers) - Sportscape (investment company owning all of Clan and 85% Panthers) - PML (larger investment company with 50% ownership in Sportscape with NB) Yes, that's my reading of it anyway. I also wonder who the minority 15% ownership of the Panthers is?? There are 283000 shares available in Aladdin Management, 233k of which are held by Sportscape, the other 50k being held 50:50 between "B. Webber Holdings" and a certain Freddie Black, who is also a director along with his father (to correct my earlier comment). That's as of the last filing date for that info, June 2018. B Webber Holdings Limited is a property investment company, it seems. Complicated shareholding, lots of family members and trusts. Erstwhile (resigned 31 Dec 2018) director Mr J D Webber used to live in...... the Bahamas. Only remaining director Lionel Curry (a 67 year old solicitor) is a mainly property man, who deos do a bit of sport/entertainment stuff, it seems, with many other directorships. Probably this bloke. www.currypopeck.com/lionel-curry/I can't see where the investment in Aladdin sits in BWH's accounts though. It's not obvious. Not that you should read anything in to this though, all looks legit to me. (All the above available in public documents.)

Tax “efficient” is the word and no absolutely nothing wrong with that at all. I have always had companies off shore for exactly the same reason for many years and in fact even in retirement I still have one now. Holding companies, trusts, complicated company structures, banking etc.

As a non-social media user, there's been a bereavement in the Black family? Always sad news.

Coach then by sounds of that.[/quote I expect that will be announced just before the season ticket deadline, The Coach (probably Rick) and Stewy if he can convince them to keep Henderson, Olsen and or Hughes

I might be wide of the mark here but reading website theres been a slight delay out of their control. Could that be the new coach is still under contract with another team and what about the new man taking on a coach/GM role similar to Fox up at Sheffield.. and Moran is stepping aside due to his recent health problems?

Slight delay due to bereavement Pidge, I hear there is lots of noise on social media about Doug Christiansen being the next coach, odds on favourite apparently.

to be honest and I am not defending Neil Black but why should he say anything, everything he says can and will be used against him and hes sat perfectly fine in his ivory tower counting the cash... As "customers" we either get a season ticket or don't... there are plenty that will for everyone that doesn't and I recall sometime ago he was actually meeting fans and mentioned that he doesn't particularly like season ticket holders as he gets more cash from walk-ups anyway...

That is very true, I was at that meeting, a few years ago now. As GM once said, for every sponsor or fan that drops out there are two waiting to come in.

EMB I dont think the delay and NB family bereavement are connected could be wrong mind no my point is, that the Monarchs are going into the 2nd round of the playoffs and we’ve been told that we could get an announcement in the next couple of days but he’d still be coaching

Or perhaps it isn't DC and Black is simply spending the next few days with family, organising the next few weeks with family and getting arrangements in place.. meaning he can't have the final 'You've got the job' meeting with the potential new coach?
I'd be happy if it was DC but it'd be quite unambitious for him. I've always seen him as a guy who's wanted to work his way to the top. He did very will in a player development role before joining Manchester in the ECHL, where he's coach and GM, and doing well again. The next step for him should surely be the AHL or a better European league. Leaving North America for the EIHL again wouldn't make sense.

I agree,it’s got to be that Neil needs to be around when the new coach is announced and that’s why it’s been delayed. Can’t say I’d want Christiansen as coach though. BUT....what if Moran retires and Christiansen comes in as GM/Head Coach. I could see that happening !

Yes I think that's the only way of tempting DC here is as GM/Coach as that's what his current position with the monarchs is. I guess that's why NB may want to be present.

That’s the only way i can see Christiansen coming to Panthers, because i just could not see GM and him working together without fireworks. It wouldn’t last half a season !

Exactly, Rich didn't last half a season either. who'd want to come here is Gary is still around, not a lot of people, don't get your hopes up.
