I refer the learned gentleman to his response in the thread "League predictions" on 10 August 2018. You got some right. But Panthers winning it? Not so much. To be fair, no-one predicted a Belfast league win. Most people went for Cardiff. Yes I did some months back on here actually and if they hadn’t had a problem with Rutherford I think they would have done the “genuine” grand slam too. My apologies. Maybe "no-one" was a bit exaggerated... On the thread I referred to above, the counts were 11 Devils, 4 Panthers and 1 Giants (take a bow PantherG).

Given that they've highlighted that exit interviews are taking place today (can't remember this happening before), I wonder if we'll see a euro-style 'thanks for your services' release list of non-returners in the next few days? The Clan have done it this year and I believe Shuff did it last year too. I know on twitter people have been questioning why Strachan is even doing these exit interviews if he's only the 'interim' head coach, but I think most of us assume whoever the head coach is, RS will still be around in some capacity... Neil Black could have pulled rank and told Strachan to clear house regardless of who our new coach is

Even so its typically amateurish clueless business. Why should Strachan be conducting this? Firstly he should be first out the door!

Guaranteed.. all these fans saying cant wait for next season already.. why? 1. Because apparently this season was so great, we not only finished in the heady heights of 3rd, we also reached the semi finals of the cup and POFW. Plus we qualified for the European tea tray trophy. 2. Everything will be so much different/better next season because Gary the Doctor of Spin will spend all summer telling us. 3. We will have some great quiz nights.

It's just a vicious circle mate. What's the betting a new coach is announced in the next 2 weeks 😉

The new coach will have to tow the party line at all times though, always do as GM says and have Strachan and Green as his ‘assistants’. Not sure if it’s annoying or funny anymore? Maybe both.

The former mate. Its like a dictatorship at Panthers towers. Green and Strachan should have been shown the door on Saturday evening for starters. Can you honestly see Black sitting down with GM this summer and saying/demanding this wont happen next year and put all these wrongs right ?

I think so many of us could have a fairly decent guess about the conversations that take place between those two. Profits, Bums on seats, fill the ‘bowl’ etc, etc.

The gravy train will run dry at some point.

I think he is worried about having enough teams to play against at some point He’s probably right to be. There has been a fair turnover of teams in the past few years. Could be only a matter of time until teams continue to drop out but there won’t be any other teams lined up to take their place.

Maybe not right now and I wouldn’t put much money on many teams to join. Hull maybe? Leeds in time? Would be good to see a team from the North-East back too, but that’s just wishful thinking. Who’s most likely to drop out over the next few seasons?

Those with falling attendances and poor results or rising wage bills. As for those coming up? Part-time and amateur vs 14 imports to pay, fly and house? Plus full time office staff too. That’s a hell of a jump.

I agree, it was purely guesswork on my part, naming those teams as potential EIHLers. All backs up what we’d said earlier. Teams will continue to fall by the wayside and there won’t be any others ready to take their place.

We are a failing club who have consistently got worse since winning the league in 2013. Nothing that happens at the club gives me reason to believe anything will change. Al the pieces that are consistent with that failure remain in place.
