Might surprise us here. Playoff hockey is a tad different.

The six regular season meetings have been a real mixed bag with both sides taking wins when perhaps not expecting to. So, it's the Play-Offs, and who do we fancy ? In this first leg tie I see a Grapes Count of :- Flyers 3 : Panthers 2. Anything more than a one goal deficit coming back to Nottingham and it's curtains for Panthers Final Four spot.

Sorry Dops but i don’t see how that’s even worth a ban never mind three games. Bulmer hardly moves and nobody does that on purpose when they’re just as likely to blow their own knee as the other guys knee. Another farce from Dops. 🙄🤨

Not a great hit, although Connolly does seem to be going legs akimbo at the time, but the obvious comparison does make 3 games seem a bit ridiculous. They don't help themselves over at DOPS.

So what would Dops have done if it had been Bulmer that got injured ?🤔 Knowing those clowns probably have banned Connolly for five !!!

Selfishly a bit dissapointing. Could have been an extra spark and edge to the tie with him in it. A few of our guys wanted words with him I'm sure. However it is probably a blessing in disguise. No side show to get distracted by. Just focus on the job at hand.

Yes apparently the guys wanted Fife and him because if what he did to Stevie. It could have been a distraction and bans for us tho if we had gone for him, Fife are crafty enough players up and trying to draw penalties, like they said they know what the Scottish refs are going to call and know how to play them.

The teams who play the smartest hockey are successful this time of the year. Pither.. Billingsley... yes play smart
I'm not sure this Panthers side is capable over 120 mins of doing that.

so will the club now change their marketing of this event as 'fur and feathers', 'bad blood', etc ? probably not as it might draw a few floating fans in to the game, but it's a bit pathetic that a club like Nottingham need to spice up what is already the biggest game of the season.

You think Detroit would fly to Washington the morning of the game?

Agreed, these are the biggest games of the season now, it’s do or die, no chance at another trophy. I wish they’d stop with the bs and just ask the fans to turn up and support the team, give the players the boost they need and help them into the next round. Make the fans feel like they can make a difference.

I know there was talk of Betteridge and Guptill maybe in with a chance of missing one or more games, has anything been confirmed anywhere? Betteridge I would think will be ok because wasnt his issue something that maybe be referred to DOPS? And Guptils issue was a possible automatic ban for fighting in the last 2 minutes

On the OS it specifically mentions the two players missing through suspension - Rissling missing game 1 for Panthers and Bulmer missing both games for Fife.
No mention of Guptill or Betteridge so it looks as though they will both be available.

The 2+10 for boarding was sufficient in my eyes.
Regards the instigating call, have DOPS issued any bans following a scenario like this?

I’d seen it touted by some (might’ve been on here, and/or Twitter/FB) as a possibility though.
