I'm a big fan of Aaron Murphy's new commentating style. Big fan! I'd ordinerally be complaining about the technical issue, not this time. 😂 I will complain about the rest of the pee poor product thats put out on tv though. No HD, 1 aweful camera angle, terrible glare off the ice. At times the coverage on Freesports must do more harm than good for attracting new fans. If I wasn't a fan and caught half the stuff they put out I certainly wouldn't be drawn to keep watching and end up at games. I'd think whats this amatuer crap.

Is it a permanent loss of commentary or just a temporary fault

Is it a permanent loss of commentary or just a temporary fault The message keeps flashing up at bottom screen saying an issue out of their control amd being worked on. Its lasted the entire 1st period so far.

They are showing highlights of the Italy game and that doesnt have commentary either so maybe its just a glitch

Free sports is a joke. Still it's a blessing we haven't got to put up with Murphy's drivel. 😁

Its lasted the entire 1st period so far. This is the bit that winds me up the most with Freesports / Premiers tinpot operation - at least own your damn mistakes and apologise! It would be 'out of their control' if it was an issue from an imported broadcast like their NHL feeds are, but this is their broadcast - whatever the issue is, its on them!

Only just joined this on TV. Why is the clock counting DOWN (as I like it to) when it counts up (as national competitions do) at Coventry. Nothing is straightforward in Ice hockey. Tuned in looked forward to 15 mins left and its 5 to go.

Did I hear Batch named? Thought he wasn't in the squad who we understood as the playing team for these two games or has there been a change already?

Then again he need's to keep among the lads to show he's able, if actually needed later.

All clocks should count up, irrespective of what competition it is. Coventry is the only correct clock in the Elite League. Why have a clock that counts down, and then announce goals/penalties on a clock which counts up. Typical Elite League incompetence/cheap skating/disregard for the rules - delete as your views dictate.

A good game that I was glad I went to.
I thought Batch looked very good, and clearly a guy trying to force his way into the team.
Oh, and Lacho almost got in a fight!

Did anyone buy a programme for the game last night? It’s got about 3 pages repeated in it. Literally exactly the same pages repeated later on in the programme! Literally exactly the same pages repeated later on in the programme! 😂 Sorry did I repeat myself!

Need to step up again, as good as it was yesterday...I see Leon Draisaitl scored a hat trick for Germany against Austria yesterday, put that alongside 50 NHL goals this season for a struggling (unfortunately) team

Not so good up in Sheffield this afternoon... GB were beaten 2-5 by Torpedo. I don't know what most of the roster changes may have been, but Ben Bowns had the day off and it was Jackson Whistle in net. Not a netminder that I've ever rated, even before he went to Sheffield, but hey ho. Can't blame him for only 1 going in the other net, however.
What the hell... these warm-up games are just there to serve a purpose, and that's exactly what they've done. It's not as if the results mean much... Poland just edged GB 2 years ago before we won gold in Belfast, and then last year before the gold-and-promotion-winning trip to Budapest, Lithuania comprehensively beat GB. So there's no correlation there (not that I'm expecting any massive wins for us next month in Slovakia!).

Just got back and GB were 2 yards off the pace all afternoon. Our d found it very difficult containing their skilled forwards. After a excellent start we lacked any sort of penetration. The lines were all over the place. Lacho carried on his Panthers form to a tee!!. Ollie and Kirk were standouts!
Poor Crowd.. which numbskull had the idea to charge 20 quid for that !

This is the whole point about hockey here. All about the turnover and running it 'as you like'. No promotion to the support of GB and failing to follow general rules. This on top of avoidance of their crucial income - the fan.
