Spot on, that’s a very very good signing by the Blaze, Schiestel is a good player and will do them proud.

Must admit that with the signing of Davies that Steelers roster is looking streets ahead of last years. Although can't really say i like the sound of Matheson actively helping who is now a rival sign high end players by referencing them as the no.1 place to play in the UK if that statement is to be believedThats the important bit though - almost certainly included by DS the BS as a windup given that Matheson is now a panther! If I was to be objective as possible you'd have to imagine that Cardiff would currently be 'the number one place to play in the UK' for any import doing a reasonable level of research: Recent dominance, seem to pay well (despite that 4th largest budget!) / have access to Cardiff Uni MBA, nice new facilities, players are well looked after (flew Mosey abroad to have a specialist to look at his concussion), owners and management passionate about winning...no GM, no DS etc!

Somewhere between a solid rumour and all-but-announced is that Steelers are following Davies with Brocklehurst and Locke, alongside Letgyumov and (a weaker rumour) Sebastien Sylvestre.
On those names alone, it’s a physically small team but otherwise...batten down the hatches IMO.

If they're all true it could be the strongest Steelers team in years

If they're all true it could be the strongest Steelers team in years Have they had a huge second thought on offering College courses or is their budget now even bigger? That’s one quality squad although they couldn’t afford Lee 🤓

Steelers now looking to have lost out on Locke, if they were ever in for him to begin with. Sylvestre touted replacement.

Credit to Danny Stewart and the Blaze on this one. They, and we, have seen at first hand what this player can do so not a "shot in the dark/good CV/heard good things about him" type of signing. Would not be surprised if he gets a letter on his chest as one of Coventry's leaders. He will know the league and it's nuances so what's not to like from a Blaze perspective.

Will be interesting to see.

Cardiff very rarely sign duff players (since the Calgary takeover anyway).
He'll do well.

Not every signing each club will make will be a ‘marquee’ signing. Clubs need 2nd/3rd/4th liners.

I feel that this for the Devils would be a “Budget” If as presumed Riley has signed for them he would be earning a lot, so can see why mike has been signed. If a budget signing I feel they have got a class signing

Huge spanner in the works for Lord the Mosey injury - he was his two way speedster - often played him at start and end of periods up front then slotted back on D with his pairing. Will probably struggle to find someone in the same mould and then of course we’ll have a spare when Mosey eventually returns around January/ February if fully recovered. Looking forward to seeing the Parisi/Blood/Schiestel replacement - probably downgrade on Parisi, hopefully Blood quality, upgrade on Schiestel. With Pope/Bentivoglio/Dixon looking likely to return, and with McNamee arriving it looks like Livingston may also return, add the rumour that Riley has joined we have the following; Linglet / Dixon / Riley Bentivoglio / Martin / Pope Livingston / McNamee / Haddad Duggan / Myers / Batch (Myers will definitely want another year at the Worlds) As for the D without Mosey for now and with Batch back up front; Reddick is here longterm especially now he seems to have settled to his D role; Richardson will definitely be back; so we have; Fournier / Richardson Reddick / New D (replacement for Schiestel/Blood) Louis / New D (replacement/cover for Mosey) Add Murdy as back up and we’re done. 👍🏾
