That's what I was getting at, read my post again, it says it didn't matter that Ling was lazy! I was saying that if you stick Guptill on a line with someone with Bennys work ethic then you can get away with being lazy! Oh yes totally agree but Guptil isn't going to get that on his current line. No way is #7 a workhorse. #74 tries is best but doesn't have the skills required to be a regular playmaker to Guptil Guptil doesn't need a playmaker, he creates his own chances. Guptil needs the room to play. A grinder/two way player or two would be ideal for him.
Graham needed Ling as the playmaker.

I'm liking the names being tossed around by the Clan fans One of them used to play for Coventry and the other player is following Clan fans and the League on Twitter, he was last playing in the SHL. If those players come in then I'd be happy. As for who I'd want, well a goalie with European league experience and preferably on the older, more experienced side. Vallerand and Reddox I assume? Reddox has Scottish heritage I believe so he’s always had the assumption of playing in Scotland before retiring. I think the issue Glasgow need to address is that they haven't had the Netminder who can be considered to be one of the best in the league.

Yep, Reddox was class when I saw him play against us in the CHL and hopefully he stays a few years and then plays for Great Britain

No coach could be that stupid.

Scott Conway, the cousin of Brett and Brendan Perlini has finished his college career in the NCAA. I believe he would classify as a Brit in this league but not 100% sure. It will be interesting to see if he tries for a job in the ECHL or looks over here, Panthers would probably be in with a good chance considering we’ve currently got Perlini.

I'd expect Scott to attend AHL try-outs, he's put up decent numbers in the NCAA with a clear knack for goalscoring. If his skating is there then I'd expect an AHL team or two to at least give him a shot.

One of the Conways (I believe it was Scott) scored 10+1 in an 11-0 win.

Read what seems to me to be an entirely unbelievable rumour on the Inferno, of Keefe to Nottingham and Dixon to Belfast.
Keefe, a Giants Legend to upsticks after donkeys years in Belfast to Nottingham? Unless Neil Black is really splashing the cash I can't see it.

I'd take it for sure but as you say I think it's unbelievable. Can't see him leaving Belfast for another EIHL team. Another strong year in Belfast next season and his coaching CV starts to look very good and then I could see him moving on, but not to Nottingham.

I should add that I can see Dixon getting a 'promotion' to a bigger club should he want it, just don't see the Belfast job being vacant at least for another year.

Can't really see him moving either. I'll be amazed if Henderson doesn't get our job.

does Henderson even have any coaching qualifications? Did Nielsen? I assume they have to. If i remember correctly, some years ago the Steelers having to sack Dennis Maxwell because it became known he didn’t have a high enough or any qualification. Think they needed level 2.

Apparently Corey was in town today. However bad it was under Corey at times, it's been consistently worse since he left.

No doubt some Panther fan will say to him why don't you come back to Panthers?. Personally for me no... I wouldn't want him back but that's just me.

We need to expect to have either Rick Strachan, Henderson or a brand new coach.
Keefe isn't going anywhere. Dixon isn't going anywhere. Russell was never going to go anywhere.
All these 'rumours' are dumb, they make little actual sense. Is Keefe going to uproot from a place where he is a legend, just added a league championship to his coaching CV and possibly soon to be a Playoffs, with one of the big budget arena teams with a very forward thinking ownership and management? To come to a backwards thinking organisation who ship 9 in the most important game of the season.. jesus. Whoever created that rumour must've been on the razz a bit.

Completely agree Kiev, I bet Corey is glad he got out.
