You're just a one track record aren't you? Tedious, boring and very, very sad.

You're just a one track record aren't you? Tedious, boring and very, very sad. That’s your opinion. But if everybody clapped their hands and whooped with joy at Panthers underachieving every year do you really think you would have got a DOH ? I don’t,and I’m not the only one who criticises Panthers, if every fan was happy all the time nothing would ever change. It seems things only ever change in Pantherland when the natives get restless. Don’t know about others, but if Panthers started doing what they should and challenged in the league then I would stop criticising them and get behind them again. I criticise in the hope they change their ways that’s all.

You seem to be viewing the DOH role as a bad thing though?

Nope he won’t be,but just think.... If only we’d dangled some of the cash we spent on a Director of Hockey. 🤔 But you constantly bang on about how much money the Panthers make, so the fact that your implying that we could have got Long instead of spending it on Doucet as a DOH doesn’t back up your argument

Our budget for what we make is a consistent joke. The money used on Doucet could have gone elsewhere, that's the theory.

Yes we don’t spend anywhere near the amount we make but to say the money spent on Doucet could have gone towards an offer for Long is ridiculous when you don’t know figures or situation. We could have put in a good offer for Long and he decided to go somewhere else even for less money and it’s another assumption that Doucet’s wage comes out of the player budget, our budget could very well have been the same with or without Doucet

Nobody knows where Long is going yet and nobody knows that Doucets wage comes out of the on ice budget so let’s leave it at that.

It's a sizeable IF regarding Doucet's wages being the player budget.
Something none of us will never know, which makes the use of it as a reason for spending arguably all the more pertinent.
I can certainly see where Iggy is coming from on this this one.... Which makes a change...!!

If Bowns left Cardiff I could see them splashing the cash to get Perlini or Farmer. If he doesn’t leave, there is the possibility that Manchester could be looking for a forward to replace Long, again, Farmer or Perlini could be an option.
If either of these situations were to become reality then the replacements we could look at could be Joey Lewis or Ben Davies. There are players available if some of our Brits do leave.

Bowns on the other hand 🤭 I'd like to believe that re Farmer & Perlini (and, to be honest, I'd be surprised if they left for another EIHL team)... but do you have anything solid upon which to base that? Or is it just what you wish/hope rather than know? Believe nothing until it's signed, sealed and announced... and even then you can't be sure it'll stay that way. That's the reality of the EIHL and British ice hockey.

Have we ever had such a small Brit pack this far into the off season before?

That's who EP have as on our roster so far. No Lee, Farmer, Lacho, Kelsall, Hazeldine, Gospel.

It has Stewart on there but that's not been confirmed as well. Little worrying when you see giants Cardiff and steelers all bring getting players in. Particularly devil's and giants. Doucet so far has got a coach from down the road in and how long did it take for that to happen?

Rheult never played enough to form a opinion of him. I'd like to see him play a full season injury free

Stewart won't be back as far a I know.
We need some news in the next week, preferably British player related. If the rumours are true and we're set to lose at least one, but possibly more Brits.. then god help us.
