It was 4 - 4 last time I checked; oh well, who really cares anymore?

Disappointed we lost but least we were competitive and looked like we battled against one of the leagues strongest team away from home

Seemed a excellent effort there tbh being our 2 best d men down. As long as the effort is there

Nice that we let their new guy get on the board right at the end.

Very entertaining game. The Panthers “up for it” team but outclassed by the far better team at home.

Can’t fault the effort tonight but obviously it showed that we were down our two best dmen. If we play like that for the remainder of the season and bring everyone back in I’ll be happy.

And tonight we saw what Chris Stewart is all about, finally. He’s shut me up with that performance, long may they continue!! 2 D out, played a good solid game, few personal errors cost us goals coughlepinecough. Also Belfast love to get their sticks and their elbows up in faces. Let’s see what next weekend brings.

Can't help feeling disappointed by this one.
Felt Belfast were there for the taking

Effort was there but our top 2 d men being done followed by pretty bad travel didn’t help.
Can’t say I’m too sad though with Cardiff losing now though!

Belfast at home, they are closing the gap on Cardiff, have been around 75% winning percentage in the league since the new year whereas we have only been around 33% in the same time and short our top 2 Defence men.

Seemed a excellent effort there tbh being our 2 best d men down. Was Hughes not playing? He's statistically Panthers best D man by a country mile at the moment. 15 points and +19. And I know people won't like it, but Lepine and Olsen were both +4 before the weekend started. Lepine is only 3 points behind Olsen at even strength. Rissling was +1, and has actually scored more points at even strength than Olsen. Only Lee of the full time D is worse (-2, 0+8)

Did we doubt we'd get a good effort tonight? Big game etc?
Anyway, two hat-tricks for them tonight, Baum and Johner. Question for the stats brigade - when was the last time Panthers had 2 hat-tricks in the same game? Has it ever happened?

It must have done loads of times in the old days when there were ridiculous scorelines and imports got 150 points a season.

Yeah probably does go back to then, but more recently (Elite League)? 2013 play-off semi final v Cardiff. Bruce Graham & Matthew Myers both got hat-tricks in a 6-3 win.

Belfast at home, they are closing the gap on Cardiff, have been around 75% winning percentage in the league since the new year whereas we have only been around 33% in the same time and short our top 2 Defence men. It seemed we conceded soft goals especially when we pegged them back twice and didn't capitalize on it. It also seemed to me that we were the best team in the 2nd but didn't manage to take the lead I'm not faulting the effort but in my opinion, it looks like a wasted opportunity
