It was inevitable and necessary, not just because of results but when the coach is constantly complaining that the players don`t listen to him then he clearly has to go - unless they sack the entire team. As for the future, then Cardiff are the obvious template. They have looked to the long term and established a culture and team ethic within the club, they obviously do their homework when recruiting because their signings nearly always seem to fit seamlessly into their system.I wasn`t expecting a league title this season, would have been happy with a top three finish so long as we were in contention and showing signs of establishing a consistent level of performance, but whilst we are still in third, largely due to the clubs below us taking points off one another, our only consistency is in losing. Hopefully, in what remains of the season, we can at least see the players enjoying their work and giving us something to cheer.

not surprising its a bit of a curse in any sport taking over from a long time in the job coach or manager.
Something needed to happen though after the last few weeks.

Neil Black in the Nottingham Post "Panthers chairman Neil Black said: “Rich recruited a great roster of talent and we think we can still make a good run at the end of the season and remain in contention for all three titles." Not sure about all three titles!!!!!

Not sure about all three titles!!!!! Mathematically, yes. Realistically? - very VERY doubtful indeed.

Not sure about all three titles!!!!! Haha absolutely no chance. For Panthers to win the league we would have to win all 19 remaining games and hope Cardiff lose 10 of their last 24 games. Mr Black either hasn’t looked at the league table or lives in cuckoo land ! 🙄

Thinking about it I think there might be another motive. Declining crowds mean less money - so "Come down to see our late title chase - never too late" or I am being too cynical?

I have a feeling that Dundee are in for a right "tousing"! An upturn in your fortunes looks on the cards!

Well that prediction went well! The coach was just part of the problem. He was easy to spot as he was bloody useless but still only a part

The Panthers are in free fall and all we get from our owner is either spin or poorly researched bull. Speaks volumes.

Adams apparently has a very well paid, relatively high position with the Royal Mail at the moment, according to a Steelers fan I know. He'd be stupid to leave that role to take up full time coaching.

But have we moved on, from the accounts that I've heard is that the performances we've had against Dundee and Glasgow were the same as the ones we've seen recently. Or is it a case where we give Rick the benefit of the doubt because he probably hasn't a chance to go through things properly due to the timing of it all.

As a league winning coach, Adams might be a touch expensive. Anyone got Doug McKay's number?

Being an islanders fan I’m now seeing what a talented bunch can do under a top coach. If we fix the structure of the club GM down we could be a force for years to come! The bigger picture needs addressing
