A heads up to all you playoff fans although not been confirmed yet by the Elite league I hear the Arena are gearing themselves up for the Panthers playoff tickets to go on sale possibly as early as Monday 21st Jan, pushing it abit now to announce I would have thought so could possibly be the following Monday. I believe they released them last year when we were in Scotland.
Announcement from the EIHL tomorrow. (Thurs)

This one could very easily be the first POFW without Panthers and Steelers. Don’t be tempted to buy too early this time people !!! Lol

Am not going to the actual games this year, staying in the pubs and watching it on Freesports instead.

You watch, The Steelers will scrape into The Play Offs and (Knowing them) will win the blooming thing

Dread to think how the supporters page on Facebook will cope when Panthers inevitably get dumped out of the Playoffs in the QFs and everyone tries to sell their tickets due to 'other plans they forgot about'.

No chance they’ll beat Belfast or Cardiff on the weekend.

The most pointless part of the weekend is the 3rd place game. I remember that year we beat Fife, can't remember what the score was but according to people I spoke to the players looked as if they were in no fit state to play, not sure if they were being OTT about it.
It's better to have the 2 Semi games on Saturday, then on Sunday have the Awards ceremony before the Final.

Invite teams from the other leagues to come along and give us a game...anything but that 3rd place effort.

That was too one sided the last time it was played Possibly... but over the years there were some bloody good games. And even a one-sided game is better than that utter travesty of the 3rd/4th place 'game'.

You’d think the league would have looked at that 3rd 4th place game before now, they have a year to plan something different and folks have been moaning about this for years now, surely something could have been organised before now. I think last year was the highest attended match I’ve seen in a long time .
I wonder what the price is this year aswell, should find out tomorrow .

It probably won’t be long now before Tony Smith is telling us that stupid 3rd v 4th game is back again by “popular demand”. 🙄😩

Bring back the England/Scotland juniors game! They've churned out an excuse for this one not to be revised too. Funny how it ran ok before. Got to be costs or accommodation or such.

Sack off the 3rd / 4th game it’s a joke and disrespectful to the players, they’ve just lost a semi final the day before I highly doubt it’s enjoyabke for them to skate out and “Play” infront of a half cut crowd who don’t really care about the outcome. Just have the saturday semi finals and the stand alone Sunday final.

Maybe make it a fun 3v4 game, such as football in ice, zorbs or it's a knockout type game ... entertainment based rather than an attempt at serious competition.

Each player who scores should have to shotgun a beer, same for any penalties.
