I agree about Panthers crowd in general, they’re pretty useless really. But of the 4999 that were supposedly there,I would doubt if there were more than 20 Dundee fans, but the Stars didn’t need any emotion or crowd noise to win. Iggy the smaller teams come into our big, shiny building as the underdogs and they play a smart game without any fear. Why is it that we don’t go into Milton Keynes, Fife, Glasgow etc and wipe the floor with them? Because on paper our teams are better than them. Because we play down to their level. Just like with the teams we sign,it always looks reasonable yes,but oh so so far away from what we could have if we wanted. I believe the arena is actually a disadvantage to us against lesser teams as it’s their cup final, but we don’t do enough to counter that with the quality of team we sign. Sign a good enough team and they’d win in an empty arena.....but we don’t do it !

Rare visit for me this season (free ticket) looking forward to seeing the new forwards. Hoping to see a bit more finesse and speed. Bet you wish you'd not bothered?

Our OT special teams are a complete joke. With the offensive “talent” we supposedly have and two way threat in Olsen we should win more than we lose in OT. As for Lepine, yet again he’s just proving he’s not the player he was, worst + - in the team and another penalty that’s cost us the game. Tetlow has been 3 times the players Lepine has this season so far.

Lepine should have the C ripped off his shirt in the dressing room. You're in OT and you get paid out on your backside (beautiful and clean check BTW), just backcheck and finish your shift, it's OT, your pride means Jack right now. The team needs a leader.
Instead you take a stupid penalty followed by a spearing and cost the team the game. It shows absolutely zero leadership, and zero concern for the team. A perfect example of playing for the name on the back and not what's on the front.
Perhaps more damning is I'd not even care if he got 5 games. He's been so lacklustre it might even help the team.
In the meanwhile, he might be Mr turnover, but someone get Mr Sauve on a flight over pronto.

Yet there were still a huge amount of fans that applauded at the end. How? Why?

Sauve at least contributed at both ends too, Lepine costs us too many goals and doesn’t do anything up the other end either. Sauve was frustrating but a more than decent threat from the point, 30+ points last year was a decent return.

Cut down his minutes and he will be our second best d man behind Olsen.

Didn't he sign elsewhere already? Yet there were still a huge amount of fans that applauded at the end. How? Why? TBH it was pretty empty by the time the "GM-err The Nottingham Panthers" (nearly, Ken) did their lap of dishonour.

Certainly around where I sit in block 14. Must be the ‘true fans/real fans’.

You should have been in our block -14, I didn’t clap the team at the end they didn’t deserve it I shouted rubbish instead... much to the annoyance of the women in front who decided to roll her eyes and shake her head in disgust, Sorry but I pay my money that contributes to the players we have & am entitled to voice my opinion and tonight we were damn right rubbish.

Same block as me, probably just you, me and Logan Jnr not clapping. I have literally no idea what possesses people to applaud that utter poo poo of the ice.

I bet they'll be a facebook page berating you as "not a real fan" with behaviour like that. I didn't even waste my breathe on them. I have a 35 mile drive home from every game so I'm not wasting my precious time applauding or berating lazy gits who got outskated by a team that had just got off a 7 hours bus ride. Instead I'm wasting on Panthers fora instead. Oh Well!

do you really think a better atmosphere would have improved our performance tonight? And how can you expect the fans to keep chanting after watching 10 minutes of that? I agree it would help 100%. We’re supposed to have a team which plays with intensity and brings pressure on the forecheck, don’t you think a rink with noisy, intimidating fans would lift our players heads and make them give that effort which we aren’t seeing now? yes the crowd helps but the players have to provide the foundation for the fans to build off of and tonight there was no foundation.

When was the last time there was a real buzz and a great atmosphere in that arena ? An arena full of dumb ass fans, people some of whom it seems will put up with any old dross and yet still clap like performing sea lions at the end even when we lose after a dire performance. Makes you wonder what aspirations they have in the rest of their lives if they’re happy to constantly accept second, third, fourth or sometimes even fifth best from their sports team. Probabably not a lot I’d guess !

Where was that then.....queuing in the foyer for a signature from the injured duo and the 3rd choice goalie !

I’ve had my time watching, seen it and got that T shirt many times over,I don’t really care whether Panthers win or lose these days I just comment as i see things. Nothing’s changed for years,it’s the same now by the sound of it as it was last year and previously and i don’t suppose it will change any time soon. Truth hurts sometimes I’m afraid.
