Fife on fire and no one giving them a mention.
Giants blaze and steelers are to inconsistent at the moment
Devils panthers just keep winning.

Fife on fire and no one giving them a mention. Giants blaze and steelers are to inconsistent at the moment Devils panthers just keep winning. Blaze (and fife) have not lost a league game in regulation as yet, taking 7pts from a possible 8. I doubt this is sustainable, but it is a decent start to their, and Fife’s, league campaign.

Giants are struggling, the difference being that I see players in that roster who can step up.

Inconsistent doesn't matter who you lose to jord lol. Its the fact your losing then winning then losing. I can't see blaze steelers or giants going on a 10 game winning streak as thats what you need some point during the seaason to win the title

Fife, Coventry and Guildford showing good early on. They’ll be tough all season in their own buildings (apart from the odd blow out I’d assume) if they remain injury/suspension free. Belfast I’d imagine to make changes/strengthen/improve at some point, Sheffield have made the change to turn things around (hopefully it won’t happen though). Cardiff do have a very good talented team but we’ve seen already they can be beaten as can we. I don’t think it’s a case of Cardiff then everyone for second place. I think we’ll see a competitive league this year. Have to see how the non conference set up goes because you’ve got each team and equal amount so there’s no favourable swing for any team.

Steelers appoint 2 Time Stanley Cup Champion, and Vezina Trophy winning Tom Barrasso as head coach.
He's no Thommo though, he's never won the EIHL back to back.

In fairness, he didn't win them as coach. Still he has coached - in various guises - at the elite level (the proper elite level, not our Elite level), and was a winner in Italy.
An interesting appointment, not one from the predictable gene pool. I would've been quite happy with it.

No one will intantly turn around a squad a poor as ours, let him rebuild and have a real crack next season.

If he’s a good coach he will make them better however I agree the quality isn’t there this season. He may be allowed to bring in 3 or 4 this season to help make the re-build next year less taxing I think.

Haha he should fit in well at Steelers then, especially when he finds out what Simmsey’s like and then sees the load of crap Thommo left him with. Could be a great appointment or it could have Doug Christiansen Mark II written all over it. 😆

After all, he's quit Asiago after just 7 games to leave them in the mire.

Winning the Alps league is like winning the Scottish Premier League isn't it?

How did Cardiff do on Tuesday...?
I've not checked but I assume they lost again or we would have heard different in here....

Hedden scored a nice breakaway but the Lakers deserved it on balance. They had to win in regulation to stand a chance of progressing, but the Bern/Salzburg result means they're now out.
Decent chance for the Devils to get a CHL win as Vaxjo announced they're resting players after their horrendous start to the domestic season.
