You would think Brandon would be classed as a brit too. Would be a very poor signing and a waste if he's an import

Yes, I agree it'd be a waste so I assume he's a Brit too, plus Homer mentions replacing Kirk. But then again the import rules don't often make much sense to me. Last year there was a guy on trial at Covo who seemed to have played junior over here, but wasn't classed as a Brit, and Jackson apparently is a Brit despite it looking like his first team was in Canada?

Big loss for the Yorks, but impressive move for the player. Nice to see a Brit step out of the comfort zone and move to a higher level.

Fantastic move for O'Connor and shows that the last two GB campaigns along with Panthers in the CHL has really put the UK on the euro hockey radar.
Although it does make me worry whether it makes the loss of Perlini inevitable

O’Connor was the stand out the last 2 GB tournaments - it’s a great move for him but an even better move for us. Proves that if you’re good enough in this league, you the big boys come calling.
Plus, nice to not weaken Sheffield - no way they can replace him now.

Good luck to him, didn't really do it for me tbh, but in flashes he showed great skill (that goal he laid on for Bussieres for example).

Philips will be missed. Resilent, played every game. Discipline, never took bad penalties 3RD in points 2nd in plus/minus,two scorers ahead of him, were not in top 5 in plus/minus. A REALLY well liked and respected guy in the dressing room. Good luck zack, we wish you success

Does anyone think we will be resigning Tetlow, Kelsall and Hazeldine?

Does anyone think we will be resigning Tetlow, Kelsall and Hazeldine? Would've thought so. I'd like to see Tetlow & Kelsall here full time (but with an option to loan then to NIHL teams too like we did with Gospel), with Hazeldine on a 2-way again.

Funny this has come up as I have just seen tetlow in Lace market where the Panthers lived this past season. He isn't from Notts right? So I would assume he is sticking around.

I agree with you, I just found it strange how they’ve not been announced yet that’s all.

Hotham leaving Devils is a massive loss for them and a great boost for everyone else. I don't think many EIHL teams wouldn't have wanted him in their squad.

Hotham leaving Devils is a massive loss for them and a great boost for everyone else. I don't think many EIHL teams wouldn't have wanted him in their squad. He ticked so many boxes for us. Granted he hated training and his lack of pace may have been the problem for bigger success early on in his career but to arrive in the shed direct from a good DEL season and then choose to stay after the first season was a massive result for us. Tools he had in the bag, checking, clearing the crease, PK, Power Play, playmaker, goal scorer, he even took on anyone who messed with anyone on our team. He had grit and an incredible compete level and a will to win. He also know the dark arts too. It appears he was a great leader in the dressing room, and chirped away at team mates, officials, and at opposing players. Granted people noticed his mistakes when they occurred but as he constantly played +30 mins a night he had more time to make them and his positive input far far outweighed the few mistakes he would make. He was an enigma. Don’t think we will see anyone come close to him as a package. He was a player where we were both excited to see standing toe to toe with other tough players but at the same time terrified he wold injure a hand and be out for a length of time. We have been fortunate to see 4 years of the best D man we have ever had and he will be sorely missed. Other coaches are still toasting his departure no doubt lol And the gap between the Devils and the rest of the EIHL has just narrowed considerably. These are just my thoughts.
