For discussion of signings at other clubs, please post any confirmed signings in the Roster Thread too. For Panthers signings, or major signings at other clubs, please create a separate thread. Use sensible discretion as to what counts as major please. Thanks.

Sorry not on topic (feel free to move Admin) but blimey there's a mass clearout up the road. Ervins Mustukovs, Jonas Westerling, Andreas Valdix, Joonas Ronnberg, Colton Fretter, Tim Wallace, Matt Marquardt, Andreas Jamtin and Zack Fitzgerald.
We need to be re-signing the ones we want pretty quick as Thommo will be after them, he wants a younger team apparently.

A large portion wern't happy with him already. Im sure they were hoping losing yesterday would be the final nail. That statement appears to indicate it will be him again next season. Fitzgerald always comes accross as a stand up guy off the ice and I think the majority of rink teams will be fighting for his signature, perhaps even back to the Clan.

Don't think Fitzgerald will be playing for Clan or Panthers with our current management.

I wouldn’t have him over Gagnon hopefully he’s one of Panthers returning players

I was wondering if Roy would pack it in this year, seems to have dropped off a fair bit from what I've seen of him this term. I know he's the King of Sheffield and all that but still.
Thommo was never getting sacked. Simms runs the show there.

To be honest, they are quite right to get rid of the ones they have. I reckon they’ve got it spot on with which players they have released.
Hate the Steelers, but credit to them for what they’ve done here.

I don't rate Moose, but his stats suggest I'm wrong. Seems an odd choice (and does sound like he canned him, rather than choosing to leave). Fitzy and Fretter have had their day though. Their fans aren't happy though, if Thommo gets it wrong with recruitment hopefully it'll become completely toxic up there

I wouldn't have him over Garnett or galbraith and if still have miika over this 2 aswell.

I wonder if Moose's performance against us in the Semi Final was the last straw. He was very shaky and got bailed out.
We have got to get our coach sorted quick or someone needs to be offering some of our players new contracts, Thompson could easily go after Galbraith

I wanted us to sign Marquardt last year but he didnt do much for the Steelers.

For me, Thommo has just thrown his last throw of the dice. It’ll either go right or wrong for him, but if it’s wrong, he’s gone in my opinion. Big gamble by him, but a ballsy move

I’d be very disappointed personally.

I thought Garnett was excellent in all three games I watched him play against Storm, whereas my lasting impression of Galbraith will be the howler he made for the late Steelers equaliser on Saturday, for which I sadly had the perfect view of it leaking through his pads. But the statistics over the season say otherwise.

Who would be everybody's choice to replace David Clarke?

Who would be everybody's choice to replace David Clarke? Wouldn’t Perlini be technically your scoring Brit replacement? Maybe move Betteridge up and give Kelsall a shot.

No Betteridge will still qualify as an u23 next season as he is 22 and his birthday isn't until january so it will be an empty spot.

David's return this year was modest at best, and has been trending downwards for a few years now, there's not a huge amount to replace in terms of points, bit more from Farmer, Betteridge, Lachowicz (in that order), and step up a bit from one of the youths.

Don't forget Gospel will no longer be u23 next year though, so we might need to use it there.
