Isn't there some sort of Season Ticket renewal deadline coming?
We might get a Coach and/or playing re-signing announcement for that.

Wouldn't complain. Looks a very solid ECHL defender from his stats. Also Brampton Beast so he'll know half the team already!

I’d actually be very interested to see how some players would play under Chernomaz rather than Neilson’s relaxed reign. Spang being one as there’s obviously a lot of quality there but never thought he looked comfortable under Neilson’s ‘systems’. Derlago would be another one who never seemed to quite fit in but there’s undoubted quality there. It’ll be interesting how Chernomaz uses players like Tetlow - a return to Neilson’s early days of developing Brits successfully would be great.

CJ Stretch has left his club and signed for a first division club abroad...obviously this doesn’t mean it’s us but we can hope!

How does DEL2 stack up against EIHL? I went to see us play EC Kassel Huskies in Amiens and we beat them in a fairly competitive game. I’d say it’s in a par. For example Brendan Cook spent a few seasons there and was about a point per game. He averaged more here but that was at a time where the top imports did get 70/80 points.

How does DEL2 stack up against EIHL? Its pretty much equal. I'd say EIHL was closer to DEL than DEL2 - as shown by EIHL results against DEL teams in the CHL. The German players are generally better than the Brits, but we have more imports and the imports in the EIHL are similar resume to those in the DEL. The budgets are a different matter - the DEL is lightyears ahead. But then value for money wise....

DEL 2 and EIHL players get roughly the same points in the same leagues. DEL guys would tear up our league. Ppg ECHL players are often well below 0.5 ppg in DEL. One off games are representative. Its such a great achivement than EIHL teams even compete with DEL.

Krefeld from the DEL came over last year and got beat in both games against Panthers and Cardiff. Panthers beat Hamburg,I think Clan ran Ingoldsat close or won a game too. Undoubtedly the DEL is better all round than the EIHL but I’ve always thought the German leagues are a bit over rated.

Undoubtedly the DEL is better all round than the EIHL but I’ve always thought the German leagues are a bit over rated. I definitely think they over pay. If you look at the imports, both the EIHL and the DEL have a few players who played a few NHL but never quite made it, a few who played quite a lot of AHL, and then it goes all the way down to people who were not exactly tearing it up in the ECHL, but turn out alright. Krefeld for example. Their top scoring NA import was a d man who only ever got to NCAA level in NA. Never played a pro game. If he signed in the UK, you'd be very surprised if it were for anybody other than Caps. Their highest scoring NA forward played 6 games in the AHL, scoring 2 points. And that was it. Then Berlin...top scorer an American who never played NHL but played 482 AHL games...but only got 0.46 PPG. Can't be bothered to look through any more players, but they're the top scorers, and none of them are players you'd be thinking would tear the league up if they signed in the EIHL.

www.loewen-frankfurt.de/saison/aktuelles/detail/goodbye-cj-stuermer-verlaesst-loewen-auf-eigenen-wunsch/would be very nice, however "first division club" reads to me as potentially Denmark/Norway/potentially SHL.... definately not EIHL! story reads as; CJ Stretch will leave the Löwen Frankfurt after two seasons. This has been communicated to the Americans of the leaders of the Lions in a personal conversation. Leo Sport Director Franz-David Fritzmeier : "CJ has informed us that he has accepted an attractive offer from a first division club from abroad, which is extremely appealing to him. We regret his decision because we would have liked to have him with us and made an appropriate offer. However, we must also respect that he wants to go this way for his future. So of course we wish him every success with his new club. " CJ Stretch came to the 2016/2017 season from Rosenheim to the Löwen Frankfurt. Right in his first season in Frankfurt, he belonged to the successful championship team of Frankfurt. In the past season, he became the top scorer of Löwen Frankfurt, also in the playoffs in 2018 Stretch was the best-scored player of the lion. Overall, CJ Stretch has played 128 games for the Lions, scoring 65 goals and 91 assists. The Löwen Frankfurt would like to thank CJ Stretch for the successful cooperation and wish him all the best for his further journey! Goodbye and thank you!
