Got talking to a Braehead fan who was sat near to a Canadian guy who was over for finals and seeing family in UK. Apparently wouldn't give his name but was in mid 50's. Only guy I could think of was Sean Simpson? 2+2=6? www.eliteprospects.com/staff.php?staff=745If we get him as Head Coach I might have to get that "I'd go Gay for Gary" t-shirt made. He'd be a sensational signing. NLA Championship, DEL Championship, World Championship silver medal (Switzerland), CHL champion and while most of his trophy wins are in the past, he's still coaching in top Euro leagues. I mean his last jobs have been Swiss head coach, KHL, NLA, DEL. You could argue it's a downwards trajectory, but he'd still be crazy to come slum it here with us. As much as I'm looking forward to the day Gary invites you up to his exec box to look at his etchings, I wouldn't put the printer on standby just yet. There's probably a few 50 year old Canadians with family in the UK who don't want to give their names to inebriated members of the Purple Army Would be excellent though, and @ynott can have a million ITK points if it comes to pass. Given we're now mega rich I'm expecting something at least along those lines tbh.

Any word on any of ours retiring, or just wanting to leave? Some must've finished their studies by now (Brown, Spang), they often give up after that.

Who's to say we can't do just as well as Braehead? They didn't come bottom of their conference like we did. Saved by the Crapitals.

Rumours that Whistle to Sheffield is a done deal... allowing them to ice 14 out imports and try to emulate Cardiff. Also hearing Blaze are talking to Brad Day..

I wouldn’t be totally against it, but I’d rather have a Import to share duties like you guys, I’d expect us to chuck a bit more money at it this season in an attempt to turn our fortunes.

I’d be very surprised if Sheffield signed Whistle. Their mantra is normally to try have a rock solid goalie, but i don’t think that’s him, unless they copy Panthers and sign him and an import goalie. Wouldn’t want him at Panthers, don’t think he’s that good and he seems rather injury prone too.

Not bothered about Billingsley, would be a shame about Brown though, although not unexpected if he's qualified now.

Haven't seen anything on his instagram or Melody's and last time I asked her he was still considering his options, all depends whether Panthers approach him unless after the disappointment of the weekend he has made his mind up.

Brown was quoted in the EP recently as saying he planned to retire but could stay another season as he's enjoying Hockey so much.

On Sunday Brown said he’d sign with no hesitation if management put a contract in front of him, I reckon he’ll stay another season if he is offered the captaincy. He also said he’s begging Mokshantsev to stay.

Brown would be my captain without a doubt. Always works hard and I think him and Mok work well together.

Mosey to Cardiff is one I heard just after the neilsons announcement, has some substance given the fact he turned them down last summer to play for Corey again. Wouldn’t surprise me according to Evan when in Prague he was offered mega bucks by Cardiff, he kept his word to Corey but he’s a free agent now. Not sure any player in the Elite league is on mega bucks are they?

Not sure any player in the Elite league is on mega bucks are they? Nope. Not many will be on more than £1000 a week....Roy,O’Connor and Dowd being three of them.
