I stopped buying a season ticket because we had too many meaningless games at the end of the season. Despite needing a point to guarantee our play off place and leading 11-1 it still qualifies in my book. I’d hate to be there tonight because Caps are so poor I wouldn’t feel like cheering our goals. You want to win hard fought games against quality opponents and jump up when you score. Anyone taking delight in this tonight truly is a happy clapper.

This is just not competitive sport ! 🙄 Fair play to the Caps imports left for sticking the season out though. Mike Cazzola is on a two year uni deal i believe, wonder what he will do next season ? Study harder. At Loughborough ? 😉

Almost went this evening but then thought the better of it thankfully...
The Caps ownership needs addressing ASAP even if it means the league assuming control of them to keep the number of teams as is.
They're simply robbing money from those both home and away buying tickets expecting to see EIHL quality opposition, and instead getting 6 disillusioned imports, an 18 yr old goalie (who's confidence they're now destroying on a regular basis!) and a handful of NIHL level brits.

That was horrible to watch...Panthers didn't even try and ran up 12...the biggest cheer of the night was when they were applauded off by the home fans...
I feel for the players but they are a laughing stock and EIHL cannot let this happen again next season.

I've heard a lot of people tonight saying the Caps management team should be ashamed of themselves. To an extent they should be, however this is nothing new. The EIHL have allowed them to do this year after year.
Caps should be given an ultimatum, if you can't compete, you're out. I think Hull would be willing to step up and as a result the Scottish teams would have less influence if they spit their dummies out again like last year.
I honestly believe that this Caps team wouldn't get in the top 3 of the NIHL.
It's such a shame because other than them I think we have a very competitive league.

I see the Caps telling their fans to keep their eyes open for news later in the week. Bit pointless putting it on Twitter, they could have just texted them.

Here’s a stat. Last 10 games the Caps have conceded 79 goals. 😳
Jeez....time for them to leave the EIHL.

Think this will be the announcement that they are leaving. Hopefully they won't forfeit the rest of the season. As I said on a previous post, I feel sorry for Coventry, the extra games Braehead and Dundee had against Edinburgh must surely have helped them. In a way its a good thing that Five aren't challenging for the League Title.

I'd be surprised if they announce they're off before the end of the season.

After a long weekend in Amsterdam and then going back to work yesterday I really couldn't be bothered to go to the game. After seeing the result I am glad I decided to stay at home instead.
If Capitals are allowed to stay in the league next year there is something seriously wrong. It's happened time and time again, yet they are still allowed to stay in the league.
I never want a team to fold as I think it's unfair on the fans who do follow the team but it's gone beyond that now. I just can't see how things are going to change. The league bankrolling them just to make up numbers will not work.

The league supported them , they must see a few games out before they bow out themselves.

Just watched the highlights and it looked like a training exercise. They have to go, hopefully some of the brits they have can get ice in the EIHL next season if not then NIHL and improve their game.
