Devils fan claims their reliable source has McGrattan moving to Storm.. Can't see it myself. Not in a millions years and they couldn't afford him Agreed. I know he pretty much hates GM but Storm won't be able to afford him.

I've heard a rumour Panthers/Neilson will sign a forward who's slipped under the radar of the other 11 teams and hope will be a hidden gem and is down as able to play in every position!

Has this chap, perchance, heard great things about the club from his close hockey buddies and is super keen to play in our fabulous building? Yes,he's heard nothing but good things about the fans, the city and the organisation. Can't wait to play at the fabulous NIC and he's looking forward to sampling the many bars and nightclubs within striking distance of the arena. An apartment above Hooters was obviously a big draw,as was an abundance of more than willing puck bunnies. All he needs to do now,is convince the coach that he's got a couple of lifelong best mates who are extremely good, who have heard all these things too and want to come over with him for a seven month holiday with the odd night thrown in where they actually turn up and play some hockey. Playing in the CHL was an obvious attraction and he's heard all about the amazingly wonderful achievement Panthers had in Europe last season. Worldwide adulation and the chance to attend numerous red carpet film premieres was an offer just too good to turn down. His long term injury is progressing well,he's raring to go and can't wait to get here on the 7th of August, but he can't promise he will still be fit enough to play come early September. The biggest draw of all of course, was the chance to be on a hockey team knowing that, all he had to do was turn up for training four days a week, even if a little hungover, look interested when Corey was fiddling with new lines each day,say what Gary had asked him to in a few nice radio or tv interviews, safe in the knowledge that he had a job all season long without any fear of being cut. Onwards and upwards, roll on the 7th of August ! 😩

Can we tempt ECHL legend and serial 100+ point scorer, Chad Costello over? I'd love to see Matt Siddall in Nottingham next year, not afraid to get stuck in and fairly equal goals & assists at a point-per-game rate around Italy & Austria since he left Fife in 2012. Dream signing (and hopefully not too unrealistic), Austin Smith. Winger with 91 goals in his last 3 seasons between Finland, ECHL, DEL2 and Austria this year: www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=18748

I can only imagine the pandemonium at team breakfasts when CN isn't quite happy with how Lacho(f effort) didn't quite pass the milk to Clarke with enough accuracy and insists he sits near someone else.

this was on the fife flyers website this morning
Flyers have released the following this morning on the website:
As you may be aware, at present the structure and format for the 2017/18 EIHL season has not been finalised. We will be attending the April EIHL Board meeting at the end of this month, where the format for next season will be discussed, and we hope to be able to make plans from there, regarding our future. We will not be in a position to release Season Ticket information or look at fixtures and scheduling until after the April Board Meeting and discussions with all 12 teams have taken place. We will release an update following the April EIHL meeting. Thank you for your patience and support during this time.

Dumbing down the league to suit the smaller budgets or having a conference system that makes us play the same teams even more than we do now will soon get old very quickly. If you have an EPL budget and aspersions then join the EPL (or what is ever left of that utter waste of time).

Sorry if this is posted elsewhere but whats wrong with Manchester? Manchester are for sale. Also talk on twitter and elsewhere that the league loaned £100k to Manchester and then wrote off a significant amount of that.

Neil Russell and co. are confident of keeping Storm an Elite League team for the foreseeable future.
Players have left on very good terms so I assume their finances aren't as bad as people think as we'd likely be hearing of 'I've not been paid' kind of stuff. Players want to re-sign with them too.
The Shane Owen to ___ is dead now too, he's signed in the Allsvenskan.
Scottish teams are holding the League at gunpoint, if they don't get what they want we'll be in a 9 team league next season.
