Well reading between the lines in that article, apart from the three on two year deals, the only others who might be back would be Lindhagen,Sertich and NIkiforuk because despite not producing enough, those three at least seemed to buy in and worked hard.

Although I agree that it seems Sertich will probably be wanted by Corey, for me he was one of the biggest flops/passengers. He was built up to be like an upmarket version of Cody Wild... I can't remember a single time thinking 'ohh good play Sertich' all season??

So it looks like we're keeping Lacho, Farmer, Lee, Clarke, Betteridge, Spang, Brown, McGrattan, Nikiforuk, Sertich, Lindhagen and potentially McMillan. We'll have 2 netminders, presumably one of which will be a Brit. That only leaves us space for 5 new skaters. Not exactly the complete overhaul most were hoping for! I cant see MacMillan staying. I just dont see how Corey could possibly justify it. He has offered nothing this year as far as i can tell. Far worse than Carter.

I can't remember a single time thinking 'ohh good play Sertich' all season?? I quite liked Sertich but he had to mostly play the stay home Dman role because of our lack of that type of player,so you didn't really notice him much. He took some serious punishment at the back which realistically he shouldn't have had to take if he had been paired with a big tough D partner. As with Spang, put him with the right partner and let Sertich go forward and you might see a better player.

If he's saying he wants a younger squad next year i can't see why he would want Nikiforuk and Sertich back as they will both be 34 next season on top of Spang (34) McGrattan (36) and Williams (37) if he convinces him to stay.

In that article it says Neilson wants Williams back and he want to retain Farner, there's no mention on any other imports so how do we know he wants the other imports back that have been mentioned on this thread?

I think people are just reading between the lines. Since lindhargen and nikiforuk seemed to actually give a dam unlike some others.

I know what you mean, I agree that they cared but I was dissapointed with production of Nikiforuk, I am uncertain whether it would be good to resign him. Lindhagen I did like, I'd happily sign him as a role player, put him on the third line with Farms and Big Ern or use him on D, a player who's versatility is key

Also heard - Finnerty to Blaze - Nettie Stewart to retire - Spang and Lindhargen back - all Brits back - Moran, to retire - Dimmen and Waugh away. No confirmed information only rumours! McGratten unhappy - but thats pretty well common knowledge.

LOL I don't know about the Rod Stewart or the Marc Lefebvre but there is definitely something going off with dundee. The are apparently making an an announcement on the future of the club next week....Saying it is at a crossroads...... And on a similar rumour there is talk that Fife Dundee and Edinburgh are considering leaving the EIhl and joining the new pihl which is essentially the current EPL.....

Ryan Finnerty has signed as head coach for Fife. Todd moving upstairs.
Dundee look to be dropping out, sadly!

Surely Stars can't be leaving... How can a team like Edinburgh survive for how long they have and Stars not? I thought they were doing well? if they do drop out they have made their fans proud by making the finals and giving it a good go to, but I really hope not.

This is the quote from Stars TV
Thank you.
To backfill; Seen on Stars TV a few hours ago. Interview with Stephen Ward.
"We've got a bit of a crossroads coming up" , "Announcement next week as to where the future of the Stars are" , "So we would ask all the fans to pay attention to that as it is going to be vital to the future of the club".
Doesn't sound good!

The Stars often get crowds of only around 800 or 900 with the odd bigger crowd of a few hundred more against Fife or Braehead, that's not much more than Edinburgh.
Makes you wonder how they put teams on the ice like the one we saw today, when compared to the big boys !

I know he's a selfish player to say the least, but I wouldn't mind swooping on Scarsella if Dundee do go kaput. Hope they don't though.

I'd have Scarsella in a flash,he's a cracking little player. Would be going in for him whatever happens to Dundee.
