Am working, so thankfully, couldn't go to the game. But I see Devils creeping back in with 3-2 (10 minutes of 3rd left). Should we have our hopes up? Sigh... Well (thankfully) you missed a belter! Credit where credits due, that was awesome and fully deserved. Well done Panthers 😀

A surprisingly good result, and a very good game to watch as well.
Betteridge had a superb game - better than Myers tonight.
Thought both netminders were superb as well.

Well I didn't see that performance coming, brilliant play for the most part, the 5 on 3 penalty kill was epic!
Unlucky first goal which Devils didn't deserve, the only sour point really.
Good quick scrap with Myers and Brown, every player can take credit tonight really good performance!

As far as I know - when the trust had spoken to Todd about the Supporters Trust, he's decided it's a good idea and set up his own version with a different name (fan council rather than supporters trust), just goes to show the difference between a GM with his head screwed on and one that isn't in touch with the very fanbase who are the biggest reason why the Panthers are known as a 'big club' in the league. As for the game. Hopefully we'll have a new Dman making his debut. Nice to see but club run. Either is good.Trust or this option. At least giving the fans a say. I was part of a fans organisation that didnt start off too well. Our proposed scheme sounds much better.

That game had a bit of everything (we scored 6 against the league leaders) - Myers should have had 3rd man in, but got pasted by Brown instead - could not fault any of our team for that effort, even Lacho scored - Betty deserved the MOM but could have gone to any of them - nice to win when every-one expects you to lose. - Another positive is I didn't win Lacho's shirt in the raffle - Why oh why can we not play like that every game, we have proved yet again that we CAN do it. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Best performance of the season for me, at least at home. Seriously short of defence, they dug deep, showed grit and determination. Obviously tired in the third but kept going. The 4 minute penalty on Doucet helped and Panthers then finished Cardiff off. Excellent.

Yup, they played well. Good effort throughout.
Think if Doucet hadn't taken the 4 minuter at a good time for us they might've found a way back, but he did and they didn't.
It's odd to me that Sheffield can't find a way to beat them though. Offensively they don't look anywhere near as good as the Yorks, IMO, yet they seem to be able to keep them down to a goal or two and score at the other end. All a bit strange.

Another game that offers more questions than it answers. Why cant we play at this standard consistently? Huge credit to the defence tonight. Very short on man power but they dug in and limited one of the most dangerous sets of forwards to a couple of goals. Really seem to have Cardiff's number this year. Tbh we're one of the only reasons Steelers are still in it. Which is abit odd.

Brilliant performance, isn't it great to have set lines that compliment each other! Offensively we are looking very good at the minute!
Every player played well but special mentions for Ollie and Spang. Ollie has been playing like a man possessed and is working well offensively on his line, and Dan Spang, some fans have questioned him but for me is a class above, playing ridiculous minutes, obviously tired and he is constantly composed on the puck, doesn't panic and will always create something. Every player played terrific though!
Nice to hear our fans making some noise as well!

Best performance of the season there! Each and every one of the players proved what they can do, it's frustrating why they don't play like it every game but hoping it becomes more frequent.

Best performance by a long way this season at home,a real gritty hard working win that one. Helped by Cardiffs forwards not being able to hit a barn door from ten feet but Panthers deserved it for sheer effort.
Crowd were very good too, especially around that big pen kill, for that few minutes the atmosphere was awesome.

Man of the match for me And back on the ice quickly after what looked like a nasty "High Stick" from Doucet - really liked his hit, that is what we need and certainly gave Devils something to think about

So much so that the followed him all over the ice and gave away needless penalties and pulled themselves out of position trying to get him. I especially liked Bordeleau lining up a big hit and Niki just jinxing out the way causing the donkey to fall flat on his backside.

If that's what the team is capable of short benched, it begs the question why haven't we done it more often? Because I could watch that team all see season and enjoy it. Blocked shots, great goals, playing the body and a decent forechecking. I actually think if we hadn't have gifted them that fluke goal, we'd have shut them out.
I actually think we have a decent team but it's inconsistent and streaky. When it gets tough, there's no one leading by example.

What a brilliant performance, you simply can't fault it. Scoring twice early I think rocked Cardiff (Who might of been having flashbacks) mind you when Lawrence and Spang missed their chances in the 1st, I thought that could cost us at the end.
Hopefully after that gritty display and hopefully our injured players return, that we can play like that for the rest of the season.

Couple of points on Steve Lee tonight: 1. Fantastic effort when he killed the full 2 minutes of a penalty in the 2nd. 2. He's done as a rough player, he let Doucet full on punch him and did nothing! Not a thing! The concussions have obviously had a massive effect on him! Such a shame as he was a much more effective player with that edge to his game.

Most enjoyable game of the season by far.
That game had everything, from the sublime to the ridiculous. Not sure why or how Cardiff seem to bring out the best in us but they do.
Just makes you wonder though, where has that Panthers team for a large majority of this season? We actually fought, we battled, we carried the puck well, we scored goals, we defended admirably. It was difficult to pick out the MOM but can't argue with the choice of Ollie.
Even chinstrap ref did OK I thought.
Get the injured players back, get the best out of Williams, add some much needed consistency and the second half of the season could be a very good one.

Got to remember that the short benched and makeshift D put in a HUGE effort but with the busy few weeks coming up how long are they going to be able to do that?
