Im not interested in getting involved in terms of meetings etc. However if membership numbers help Im happy to put my name to it/sign up. Not sure your thoughts with membership. Quite happy to be sent updates/newsletter type things too. You may find a lot of like minded people. Care enough to support you in what you are doing, but can't or don't want to put loads of effort in. Saying you have 2,000(whatever figure you could achieve) members may add more weight to things perhaps. Technology is there for online voting for members for key decisions im sure too. Yeah that's all good. The more people we have behind us he better and the amount of help people want to put in is totally up to them. If the trust is formally set up following the open meeting the next step is to roll out membership.

I suppose membership can be done and paid for online too? Yep, Membership fees would be very small as well.

How about having a "non-refundable" deposit for any-one interested - if it can work for the CC then why not

Maybe not so important at this stage. But if after going through all the various motions the Panthers won't acknowledge the trust, then surely it has been a waste of a lot of time and effort ? That's why we are setting it us as a trust rather than a club. I believe you already know this though.

Why the negativity iginla? If it doesn't happen at least we've tried. Anyone would think you work for the Panthers organisation and just want to keep the status quo

I was just asking the question had Panthers responded to a Trust email from several weeks ago.....and they hadn't ! Personally, i don't think they will acknowledge the ST,but it would be useful to know their intention before a whole load of time, effort and some money might get wasted.

This has been covered in page 5 of this thread and is also covered on the Supporters Direct website. I can't see what you mean on page 5 Rob ? It's mentioned at least twice on page 5 what would happen if the club refused to engage. It's also covered in detail on the Supporters Direct website. I'm not sure what your motives are but you seem to be being deliberately awkward now. Do you really think people would have given up the amount of time and the amount of money that they already have if they didn't think it had a chance of having an impact on the club they love? If you're actually interested in helping out please give me a call or meet me on Wednesday at the game. If you're not interested that's fair enough, just stop posting on the thread....

Fair enough,I will stop posting on this thread. I have no agenda, other than hoping the ST happens because I would like to see it But if you emailed Panthers in mid December and haven't even had a reply,I think that should tell you something. Just because you set up a trust doesn't mean they have to accept it.

Just because you set up a trust doesn't mean they have to accept it. We weren't expecting a reply. You'd think that somebody who wants the trust to succeed and who posts regularly about it would do a bit of research into it. Unfortunately it seems your hatred of the club prevents you from believing that anything positive could ever happen.

We've been on the phone to Chairman of Ice Hockey UK Richard Grieveson for 20 minutes this morning.
Really good chat, He asked all about the trust, what we've been doing, the aims, results so far.
After all of his questions and further questions about the government involvement and Supporters Direct he said that he is totally behind the idea and will be INCLUDING IT ON THE AGENDA FOR THE NEXT BOARD MEETING which is on the 16th of March.

Panthers fans. Make today the day you get in touch to find out how you can help.
It's our club, it's your trust. Together we can make a positive difference.

Rob, Left a brief (what me?)message on your phone to hear out. An option of interest for the fans (though not a supporters club I know)that are/to be in the Trust.
