Over 1500 people have seen a tweet about the Supporters Trust today.
It feels like this is gathering momentum, please help to spread the word as much as possible. The more people we can get involved the better.
Also, if you're reading this and haven't got in touch yet. Do it. If you're not 100% happy with the way things are don't rely on someone else to change things.
It's our club and the Trust is open to everyone.

Just for info this comes from Sports Minister Tracey Crouch.
Supporters are the lifeblood of the clubs they support but over time there has been a growing disconnect between them and those that run their clubs. So it was right that government set up this group to bring authorities and supporters together to see what more can be done for clubs to engage with fans.

Just had a call back from one of the guys at British Ice Hockey.
They were really interested in the work of the trust and are happy to do a feature on it at some point and help to promote the next meeting.

Is it legal to give 'flyers' (hand outs) on a street.I think so. Not within the Arena grounds of course but in the route as fans walk up to a game? A respectful request to have the leaflet disposed of properly into a bin if not handed to another person for more exposure or of course taken home.
With as much information to alley fears that it is some sort of faction against the club. More so an oppertunity for fans to get together and talk of the sport they follow.

Best of luck with the venture, it's long overdue and something every club's fans should endeavour to do.

The fans are the life of any sports club, especially with the Panthers. It has one of the largest fanbases in Europe in terms of Ice Hockey (top 40 or so in terms of average attendance). I think it's reached a point where the fans now feel like customers and we always seem to be treated badly. The block 17 campaign is revolting for change, the supporters trust is revolting for change, we need our fans to stand up and be counted I think.
Coventry Blaze are a good example, they've not had great results so they've identified the issues and replaced a couple of players to keep the fans happy. How come the Panthers fans with apparently the 'biggest' budget in the league cannot seem to do the same things? Obviously there is a 'rot' in our great club and it's not even aimed at Corey Neilson or the players.
Can you IMAGINE the potential of the Panthers if Neil Russell (Storm's GM) was in charge? The wonders HE has done for the Storm in the last year or so are incredible. Their social media is on par with any football club in the world, they get their fans involved in absolutely everything from jersey design to making sure every fan (home & away) has the best time possible at games, regardless of the result that happens on the ice. Gary Moran has absolutely no passion, no ability, he's running the club to make as much money as he can to keep his job.
We have one of the best podcasts in the league and on par with any other sport - it should easily be the official media coverage of the Panthers, It's ran by passionate fans who travel up and down the country at their own expense and done in their own time, why the hell has GM ignored them? Is he jealous that he wouldn't be 'required' anymore?
It's time we said NO to Gary Moran and make him realise that without the loyality of the fans, he won't get anywhere.

I been following and reading about the supported trust on here and Twitter since you guys started talking about it. I think it's a great idea and the right way to be doing things. I wanted to ask a few things and I feel there will be a few people at least in a similar situation. I'm a ST holder only of 2 years and travel to lots of away games that I can make, but I been on and off watching hockey in this country since I was 12. I work shifts full time and live about an hour out of Nottingham making it time consuming to come into Nottingham and not having a tone of free time do so.
How can someone like me be involved with the supporters trust? I'll probably never make it to a meeting and I don't really have any great ideas on how to improve relations between club and fans, but would love to see that improve.
I don't think I have anything to bring to the table, but would like to be noted as one of the people who would like to see some change.

Rob (ftm) will provide you with a fuller answer I'm sure Hallsy, but as I see it the most important thing any of us can do with the Trust will simply be to join it, if and when it is formally created.
The entire strength of it will rely on how many of us it represents. It's easy to ignore a couple of fans trying to tell you something, but ignoring an official body that represents several hundred (hopefully more) fans is a lot harder.

I reckon that as soon as the next meeting is scheduled, then there ought to be a flyer campaign as well as the social media one. I think that the older fans might not bother with Facebook or Twitter ( I just can't get on with Twitter!) but might just attend a meeting if they learned of it from something short and pithy that someone had given them on the way into the Arena.
I'm willing to hand some out if you decide to go that way.

Basically the more fans we have on board the better so everyone can contribute just by joining up. The main things people can help with in the short term are helping us to raise awareness on social media and also in educating fellow fans. I'm still encountering negativity from Panthers fans who say stuff like "we had a supporters club before, didn't work, club shut it down" etc. So educating fellow fans if a big part of it. You may also have a skill that we can use, one guy has already helped out by designing the logo, another has offered some cost price printing through his company, Nicky at Bunkers has offered free room hire, so there maybe something you can offer that you haven't considered yet. Also we are looking at holding a 2nd meeting before a game so that as many fans as possible can attend. Please do feel free to call me up. Cheers Rob 07974 330553

We just received a call from BBC Radio's Owen Bradley. Very interested in the Trust and what we are looking to accomplish. He also said that he will help in any way that his position allows.

As soon as the date for the 2nd meeting is agreed and confirmed I will be hammering social media. Contacting the Journalists who have offered to help promote it and organising at least 1 leaflet run to promote the Trust and the meeting.
We need to get as many fans as possible to this one....
We are looking at 6pm on Monday the 2nd of Jan at the Bunkers Hill. We Face off at 7.30pm that evening so most fans should be available and coming to the area already.
Who's in?

I will be there - be interesting to see if the Panthers org. are interested, and if they put any pressure on media not to attend, which would work against them as if the media does attend they will get an insight into what we are about
