Anyone know when their current deal runs out with the NHL? I was wondering if BT might try and get hold of it, given they have a bunch of other North American sports (MLB, NBA, college football).

Premier Sports has the UK rights for the NHL for the next 5 years. This also includes pre/post game reviews and intermission reports on prem sports website. No mention though of Elite League which is a shame however it is still early in the season so things could change

EIHL doesn't want Premier Sports so unless Premier drop the subscription and show more games, there won't be EIHL on TV anytime soon.

I was hoping it'd either not be shown at all, freeing NHL TV from blackouts. Or at worst shown on a channel that has something else worth watching on it.

Im the same as many, really frustrated that we can't watch NHL on a UK station where you don't have to pay a substantial fee, especially as it's only the hockey were really interested in. I was skipping through the channels and noticed Premier Sports had a free view NHl game on - result. It got me looking and apparently you can pay a one off payment of £99 for a year's subscription. Just thought I'd share.
