I have a question, one that is totally not a hot-topic right now. In my view the defining principle of a league system is that every team plays each other an equal amount of times. It still annoys me that there is disparity in the league set up again this year such that any strong team in a weak conference could unfairly take the league title. Whilst this may not happen again this year, is there anything we fans can do to persuade the league that this needs to be addressed for 2016/17 season before we get a 'its too late to do anything about it now' response? You can use this on a slow-news-week Jono.

You might've already discussed this, so ignore if so, but with the greatest rivalry in the Universe playing out two on-paper dead rubbers this week, does the Challenge Cup need reform, and if so what would you do?

Is the position of "GM" now too big for just one guy to cover everything and do the job properly?

Here's a contentious one for you to discuss, Jono... Many people believe that there's too little proper contact (other than handing over money for tickets, events, merchandise, etc) between the Panthers club and the Panthers fanbase. On the one side, it often feels like the club view us fans as little more than walking wallets instead of making better use of a deep well of talent and resources in the fanbase... it's all pay for this and PR on that, they talk at us and not to us. Closed minds and a 'not invented here' mindset? On the other side, there are plenty who will criticise anything the club do on general principle, demand absolutely everything immediately, would complain if we won 10-0 that it should have been by more... and there are always those who will abuse any setup, simply because they can. Equally closed minds and a 'I pay my cash so I want everything now, no excuses!' mindset? How can we bring the two sides closer together? How can we make the links between the two a little more personal, a little bit more like it used to be years ago (bearing in mind that is naturally going to be harder to manage with a much bigger fanbase than 15-20 years ago)? Is there a way to get both sides to be a bit more cooperative, a bit more helpful to the other? Make it a little more of a partnership and a little less of a business and customers? There... nice easy one for you!

Why is the Cats Whiskers website so much better than the club's official website?

We have another busy edition of The Cat’s Whiskers Podcast this week as Paul Balm, Aaron Lord, Tina Taylor & myself start by looking back at Nottingham Panthers Challenge Cup defeat in Sheffield and the home league victory against Fife Flyers. After discussing the other EIHL results & news including the Skydome goal-fest between Blaze & Giants and Chris Lawrence signing for the Steelers, we answer some more of your #AskTCW questions. We finish by looking ahead to another Challenge Cup game against the Steelers at the NIC on Saturday before I talk to Blaze fan Craig Summerton about Sunday’s upcoming game against the Blaze. Just wondered if anyone else had trouble moving to different positions in the podcast during playback? If I miss something or just want to listen to something again (Paul's jokes obviously), when I click on a point in the playback bar the playback starts and I can't resume from that point - if I click on play it starts again from the beginning. Wondering if it's me, my laptop or an issue with the page. Much as I enjoy the show, listening to 40 minutes twice to get back to where I got up to is not the ideal solution.

I get that sometimes if I am listening to the pod cast through the web - but I just download it now, problem solved.
Good show by the way!

I do Jonno.
1. Why haven't we brought in any injury cover when one of only three import D is out injured for 6-9 weeks ?
2. And why haven't we brought in the 13th import even if only short term to cover for Farmer out injured for 4-6 weeks ?
These are not short term injuries !

Pre-season a fair bit was made of the strength of our Brit Pack. Now we're about 20% into the season, is the British contingent on the roster holding its end up?
For reference, per the EIHL Website
No| GP | Points --------------- 45| 13 | 0 + 9 07| 12 | 2 + 6 05| 9 | 1 + 4 23| 13 | 0 + 4 74| 13 | 2 + 1 08| 13 | 2 + 0 19| 8 | 0 + 2 27| 13 | 0 + 0
Totals XX| 94 | 7 + 26
(If it turns out this was covered last week I probably need to visit the quacks. I did listen this time. I mean I do sometimes get upstairs and forget why I set out in the first place but I didn't think it'd got that bad.)

after this weeks checking it out there was a great time allowed with kirkham about DOPS so maybe you guys could talk about the cost's of DOPS like £2000 to appeal and £250 to get a review. if it right and fair that u have to pay £2000 to appeal.

An earlier than usual podcast this week as Tina Taylor, Andy Haywood, Paul Balm & me look back at Panthers defeats against Sheffield Steelers & Coventry Blaze and discuss some of the comments you tweeted to us about the weekend. We then discuss some of the other EIHL results before looking forward to Corey Neilson's testimonial game on Wednesday. #AskTCW questions from Twitter & The Cage Forum are answered before we look ahead to Panthers weekend games against Dundee Stars & Cardiff Devils. In this weeks show we talk about Panthers not doing a webcast and we think the club are missing out on a lucrative revenue stream. Paul asks a question of our listeners, when you've watched a webcast would you have travelled to the game if a webcast wasn't available?
Also we answer the #AskTCW questions above from Iginla & Yotes.

Wow!! lots to response 2 1)The Big Blue Tent is an ice arena nothing more nothing less - We should perform. 2) Lings return will be difficult. But he can do it 3) The D need support. 4) Our Brit Pack are good but do they compare with the imports - sorry but don't think so.
Corry and Strachs know this !
Really looking forward to Wednesday well deserved testimonial.
Lets Go Panthers xx

The chat about the Twitter is very funny.
With regards my question (ta for answering), I think Paul's point about the 12 imports because of our Brit strength touches on my issue with their current performance - well 3 of them in particular (Clarke, Myers and Farmer) - and was what prompted me to ask it. Like you say it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

Do we really need another import D man, (on top of Waugh)? As currently we have conceded the least amount of goals then any other EIHL team at 17 goals in 9 games (Cardiff next at 26 goals against in 11, Sheffield 28 in 8, then somewhat surprisingly Coventry 30 in 8) league games only
Personally I'm of the opinion as been discussed before that we should at very least have a temp replacement for Waugh (I know we had Weidergut) But also we should have replaced Peckham who was initially part of the plan
Riding Wikiman's impressive form too much or will this D continue to perform without reinforcements?
